Hollowland

Hello everyone!

Welcome to 'The Secret Life of Bookworms' I want to welcome you all personally and I hope you all feel welcome. Me and my moderators will be choosing a book per month for everyone to read and review. I hope that everyone will take part and read the monthly book, rate it and leave a review also. You can read the Rules of the group for more information on this.

If anyone has any recommendations for monthly book reads please feel free to contact me or my moderators!

This group is free to do as you please, you can start group discussions if you wish to talk about a certain book genre or a certain book. We'll hopefully all be so mad about books that we can all discuss anything!

For this months book we have chosen 'The Hollows - Hollowland - by Amanda Hocking' This book sounds amazing and I hope you guys will love it. It's a lot of Zombie madness and an amazing heroine trying to save her brother. You will not be disappointed.

If you have already read this months book then please leave your comments on how you found reading it here!

Thank you everyone

Holly x

Bec (becklebooks) (becklebooks) Could March's book be Wolf by Wolf? :) It doesn't have to be, just an idea!

Hey there Bec,

Welcome to the group! Of course we'll add 'Wolf by Wolf' to the list for future books but it may not be March as we've already had a few suggestions. We will most definitely read it though just keep your eye out ;)

Bec (becklebooks) (becklebooks) No worries, thanks Holly! :)

Wayward Skyril I have an idea for a book of the month!

Actually, I have two.

There's the first book of my favorite series ever: Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy

Then there's another favorite that's a standalone called Ripper by Stefan Petrucha.

Being an expert on YA books ~adjusts glasses~ I can be pretty sure both of these will be enjoyed by almost everyone.

Hey Skyril,

So excited to hear your book suggestions! They sound awesome and we will definitely add them to the list!

Thank you so much for suggesting them, I'm sure everyone will adore reading them both! :D

I like everybody's suggestions so far, they all sound really good.

I have an extensive list of books that I have read already, but I would like to suggest from my to-read list. As a result here are my mine.

1. Zodiac by Romina Russell
2. Undertow by Michael Buckley
3. Mindspeak by Heather Sunseri

The last one is a free book on iBooks, not sure about Nook and Kindle but it could be there as well.

If anybody wants any additional suggestions let me know, I have a lot!

David

I think Mindspeak is on Amazon for free...and I'm pretty sure I have it, so good suggestion.

That's so great! I'm listening to the audiobook version at the moment myself and it just takes me to whole other world and place! It's brilliant and I'm so glad you've enjoyed reading it :)

I've read your review and it's fantastic, so glad to see what you thought! Next month's book will be announced soon!

Hey guys! I want to welcome both of you to the Book group! I hope you guys have voted for your favourite book to read next month in the poll section! There's a great selection to choose from!

Hollowland is one of my all time favourite books and I hope you won't be disappointed by the story, if you like zombies or even if you're new to zombie novels - this book will open up a whole new world! ;)

Thanks for commenting guys!

Wayward Skyril Well, alas, I searched Books a Million and Barnes & Noble, and not only do they no longer sell Hollowland, but they can't even order it either. I just saw that it IS on Amazon, but... I bought Switched by Amanda Hocking while I was at the bookstore to read instead. I figured, if I couldn't read THE book, at least I could read one by the same author xD
And since I just finished the book I was reading [the last book of the most ingenious series I've ever read] I'll read Switched next.

Too bad I couldn't get the right book. Hopefully I'll have better luck next month.

Rachel (rache_lou) I have just finished the book and wow, it's exactly the type of book I love. Fast paced, adventurous, romance. It was fantastic, I am so glad to have read it and cannot wait for next months book x

Skyril, I'm not sure if you have an ereader but it is available for free on iBooks and, I believe, kindle. I do understand the difficulty of finding books at BAM and B&N though. Happy reading :-)

Hey Skyril,

What David said is true, it is available free for an eBook download, if you haven't got an eBook reader such as a kindle or iPad then I do apologise and I'll make sure a paperback is available as well. I think you can order it on Amazon as paperback too. By all means Switched is a wonderful series too and is currently in my own TBR list ;) I do hope you can get your hands on next month's book if you can find it online!

Hey Rachel,

So glad that you loved Hollowland! It's a wonderful book isn't it?! It definitely was a good pick for our first book and I'm so happy that you're getting involved with the group, so thank you! I do hope you'll enjoy next month's book when we announce what it is from the voting!
