Tess McGowan is an interesting and complex woman. Your thoughts about this character? Is Will really going to marry his fiancée?

Two separate questions, I think. I was impressed that Tess learned a lot about what made her a worthwhile human being from her horrid school of hard knocks background.

I really found myself asking whether Will would break it off, sooner or later. I certainly hope so. The bouquet of violets in the hospital did me in :)

Tess has certainly had a horrible upbringing and Stucky's abduction is certainly not going to help! I hope that Will sticks around and takes really good care of her. She deserves a good soul.

I thought Tess was a fantastic character. I liked how she overcame her terrible childhood and the fact that she had been a prostitute for a while. We know she has the backbone to overcome anything Stuckey could do to her, no matter how terrible.

I also liked Will. I don't think it will be long before the fiancee is out of the picture. I certainly hope these two characters are in the next book.

I thought Tess pretty special, rising above all that tragedy and recreating herself. Her insecurities kept her with that creep Daniel but Will helped open her eyes to a different kind of relationship.

I don't think Will will be getting married to that fiancée back home:)

I kept waiting for Tess to officially give Daniel his walking papers. Too bad she got kidnapped before that happened.

I did, too, Robin. She would have gotten there eventually but not soon enough before he did damage.

I thought it was crazy that Daniel wasn't even worried about her when she went missing. He just went about his business with no thoughts about her.

Creep.

Agreed. A real bum.

Tess is a survivor and I found myself admiring her for this. I also found her a bit to depended on Daniel which surprised me. With all that she had been through, why was she with that jerk? I don't see Will marrying his fiance. He has fallen for Tess. And I think he'll be good for her to have around after her abduction.
