Rothfussians discussion

This is now my fourth time reading the first two books in this series and I continually pick up new hints and nuances that I had previously missed. Now I have begun to try and piece together who Denna's patron is, so after I read the part about how Denna's patron had dealings with the Maer, and then goes on to mention how Kvothe may have already ran into him. I think that Mr Rothfuss was giving us a hit here that Kvothe may actually know this patron quite well. So my first thoughts are that Denna's secret patron is Bredon. Bredon fits the description of "Master Ash" physically and mentally. Denna described her patron as having white hair, which Bredon has. Also, Bredon discusses the beauty, mystery and the eloquence of the game, tak, after mercilessly beating Kvothe to prove a point to him. I just wanted to see what all your thoughts were on this subject?

I agree that Bredon fits, I think he is the main contender in the mind of most fans. I've always felt like he was a bit obvious, but maybe I give more credit than what is due. I know other's believe Cinder could be her patron, and whole other faction of people think that Bredon is Cinder and that as thus, both are her patron.
I personally am in a whole other group of nut jobs who think her patron is actually also Maer Alveron. Just thinking about this though, I have the desire to go in for a reread. LOL. I've read it 4 times now also but I read NOTW like 6 maybe 7, more than I can remember/keep count of. LOL I'd be happy to put myself in the same position with WMF.
