I read one of her later books This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. The Climate which I thought was fantastic. I'd like to try this one too. These lists are making me realise how little I read non-fiction nowadays, so I've just reserved week 1's book at the library.
I've not read this one, but I remember a few years ago there was quite a hype around the author and the book. Has anyone read it?

Not I but I do remember the uproar

I have, I read it whilst doing my degree (History & Sociology) so it was not for strictly for pleasure but it certainly makes you think. The impact of brand over product is still obvious in society, but as this was written prior to the most recent recession, I wonder if it is now outdated, a re-read would probably be in order.
I skim read this a couple of days ago and although I liked what she had to say, I found the ideas kind of obvious and dated now.
I'm enjoying reading your views on the various nonfiction books in these 'top 100' books, Pink. Thanks!
