Looks like I will still have a chance to get to any of the Margaret Atwood's I didn't get to this season! ( And all the season's before!)

novels, short stories, plays-also good to go
D'Arcy NilandWrote mostly short stories but also a few prize-winning novels and numerous radio & television plays... I think he's also written poems though not many & whilst a couple are printed on newspapers, I don't think he really is much of a poet.
And... Ruth Park
she produced more than 5000 radio scripts alone during this decade, as well as contributing numerous articles to newspapers and magazines and penning weightier works of fiction. (wikipedia
Husband & Wife team! I read her autobiography for Dominoes where it was mentioned they both live for writing and to live on writing they'd have to have diversity, so they wrote all sorts of things to generate enough income to live on. I do reckon they both work for this task :)
Bram Stoker "became the theatre critic for the Dublin Evening Mail" ie journalism, "Stoker also wrote stories, and in 1872 "The Crystal Cup" was published by the London Society", "In 1876, while a civil servant in Dublin, Stoker wrote a non-fiction book (The Duties of Clerks of Petty Sessions in Ireland, published 1879), which remained a standard work." and of course he wrote Dracula. So we don't need to consider his journalism, which, being only newspaper or magazine articles, wouldn't qualify unless published later as a collection.

Elizabeth, are you helping me put more 1001 authors on my list ? ;)Waiting for polls, etc, before I add more books (well, I will try. I might see what combos are already with the above), otherwise I will never get a Mega Finish!
Amanda wrote: "Elizabeth, are you helping me put more 1001 authors on my list ? ;)"Most of these are authors I actually have on my shelf that fit 20.2, with the Faulkner for 20.4. Always looking to reduce my inventory and I was looking for combos myself!
Kurt Vonnegut wrote novels, essays, short stories and a couple of plays. (incidentally should also count for 20.6 as his son published a couple of books as well)Isaac Bashevis Singer published at least 18 novels, 14 children's books, a number of memoirs, essays and articles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaac_B...

All added except Umberto Eco. I see only fiction and nonfiction for him (literary criticism is nonfiction). Children's works fall into one or the other category.

I might be a little thick, but I don't see poetry for de Lint. Can you send me in the right direction? I can see fiction and short stories.
Gaiman and Yeats are now on the list.
It says "De Lint is a poet, folklorist, artist, songwriter and performer."And wikipedia: "De Lint writes novels, novellas, short stories, poetry, and lyrics. "
I'm sorry, but where does it say this. This is the first sentence of the GR profile, and you have linked no others.Charles de Lint is the much beloved author of more than seventy adult, young adult, and children's books.
See https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...Further down in his profile, it says "poet, folklorist, artist..."
Also, wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles... (third paragraph)

Thanks, got him. Sorry for being thick, just lots to check while all of you are so busy checking everything! (which I like, not complaining that you're enthusiastic.)
Per his website, Charles de Lint has written non-fiction, novels, and short stories among a lot of other types of writing.https://www.sfsite.com/charlesdelint/...

Looking at the Polls, I am convinced I can get up to 20 1001 books into next season, and all have reasonably good combos. Keeping an eye on what everyone posts in all the task threads is making those final choices very difficult!
All selected and possible choices for next season have begun moving to my special "RWS" shelf next to my desk. :D
And as I flick through the links on the polls and consider my options :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toni_Mo...

I don't think I've seen Haruki Murakami listed here yet. He writes short stories, novels and nonfiction.
