Happy Mother's Day! In celebration of the holiday, our May writing contest is an essay contest to celebrate our mothers. The person you write about does not have to be your actual mother. The individual simply has to be someone who has acted like a mother to you in a significant way. It could be a grandmother, a sister, a brother, or even your father. And of course, it could be your mother. Write about why this person has made an impact on your life and why he/she is so important to you. Essays should be 450-550 words in length. Winning Prize The winning essay will be featured in the June 2014 Struggling Writers Newsletter, and the individual gets to choose the theme for the June Writing Contest:)
Rules and Guidelines
*No swearing/vulgar language or inappropriate (18+) entries.
*Any entries submitted after 12:00AM EST on Monday, May 27th, will not be accepted.
*All entries must be in the form of an essay.
*Any entries that do not pertain to the theme will be disqualified from the judging process and will NOT win.
