The Outsider (Whales or Whatever) (davekatislife) Many at the top of this world will have you believe it is a Utopian Society, a perfect world. When in reality, this world is completely skewed. The ideals are corrupted, no one works together, it's an every man for himself world here. But there are a few things you need to know before you just jump right in to this.

One, the caste system.

While there isn't a strict caste system like the Egyptians had it, there is a distinct difference between families born in different parts of the city. There are three levels to this city, with each getting varying amounts of sunlight. The first level is the lowest, where the creatures and beings who are known as "weapons" exist. They exist purely to be used by the upper class. And they coexist with the slave humans, often even being sold alongside them. They are the lowest of the low, and their only hope is to be bought off by some rich high class. The second level is owned by the half breeds. The half blood vampires, the ones that were bitten rather than born. They are usually half human, but very few of them are actually hybrid species. Interspecies sex is frowned upon and so they are punished accordingly. They do not live in dire poverty, but they do live in unfortunate circumstances, having a very limited amount of sunlight, which tends to make them pale and gives them more sensitive eyes. The upper class consists of the royals. The pureblooded vampires, werewolves, and demons, amongst many others. There aren't as many of them as there are hybrids and weapons. But they are stronger than both classes combined. There is a fourth tier to this, but there are VERY few who are in the fourth tier. They are the gods of this world. They surpass every species. As they are not a species. They simply exist.

Two, the slave process.

As you have read, slaves are an important feature of this society. They are a good source of trade, and are considered more so as resources than anything else. They are used for a multitude of purposes, including sex, and just about anything else. The middle class can buy slaves, but it's very rare. The upper class is the main consumer of the slave production. The slaves cannot be pure bloods ever. They have to be either weapons or humans.

More to be added.
