Blogger Lift discussion

Hi all.

Some friends and I just started a new blog. I personally love the design, but our new readers may not. So, I am seeking feedback on the design of the blog. I just would like to have some outside opinions.

I really like the background and header! However, I was wondering about the 'text' below the dragon image of the header. Are they symbols, or a special font? Besides that I found the rest of it a really nice design.

Rose, they are the blog owners name in another language. We all met because of one of our favorite authors. she writes about dragons. So, the blog is surrounded by dragon stuff. Thanks for your feedback!
