Alright, I'll bite, although mine's a short story (and if this competition is for novels only, my apologies; disregard this post!): Name - Gaines Post
Title - That One Pretty Thing
Genre - Horror / Dark Sci-fi
Description - With the advent of the new Generation "A," the line between child and parent is becoming disturbingly blurred. Something has gone terribly wrong with nature; it's almost as if humanity is broken. The question is, will we make it through this alive?
Review - Amazon.com review by EJHoward
My selling points - I've thought a great deal about allergies and anaphylaxis over the years, as our youngest has multiple food allergies and is deathly anaphylactic to peanut. Intermittent conversations with his allergy specialist, who happens to be one of Australia's best, along the lines of causes ("Why are food allergies on the rise, world-wide?" .."There are plenty of theories out there, but no one knows for sure yet"), struck a chord in my imagination, I suppose, and this short story -- That One Pretty Thing -- was the result. It actually gives me shivers when I think about it, and my sister-in-law isn't allowed to read it (she's the opposite of a dark fiction reader, hehe). So, you've been warned; it's not a cheerful tale :-p
Thank you very much for this opportunity. I wish all other contestants the best of luck! :-)
Awesome :) This sounds very interesting. If nobody else submits anything by like mid-April then yours wins automatically lol.
Sure. Sorry, I didn't see that part. The story is about 4,900 words long, not including the title page & about-the-author blurb & so on.
Hey, Gaines. If you're still interested in having me review, send me a copy of your book preferably in mobi file at davidkummer7@gmail.com :)

Since I can only take on one book at a time, you will have to win over my attention by "selling" it to me. It's a competition, sure, but be nice. Don't put down anyone else's book, and be honest with the praise of your own.
This is the chance to practice your "elevator pitches." I will pick the book that is genuinely most interesting to me to review. While I will do any books, I normally only review Horror, Mystery, Suspense, etc. but don't let that put you off.
Go ahead and post your piece below and in a few weeks or so I'll decide which one I want to read!
