Name: Rowan

Age: 16 (Winter child)

Appearance: Snow White hair that comes down past his shoulder blades and is always tied back into a ponytail. Strong jaw line and sharp cheek bones with a stone like face. Blood red eyes that pierce the soul. He has fox ears and a tail of a fennec fox although due to his height and broad shoulders his ears look in proportion to him thus confusing people as to what creature he actually is. He also has sharp claws on his hands and feet.

Personality: Rowan is very stoic and will not relay his emotions easily thus giving him the constant look of bordem. He cares very deeply for his twin sister and will protect her no matter what. Due to his almost over protective nature he can be very hotheaded and will snap at you if you hurt his sister.

Animal: Fennec Fox

History: When giving birth to Rowan and his sister, his mother died. Their father always doubted that the cursed were infact cursed children and along with the request of his younger brother. He decided to care for the twins and not hand them over to the snatchers. The two youngsters spent six months with their father whilst he cared for them until he suddenly died in a workplace accident and the children were left alone. At this time the fox spirits guarding the children took over their mortal bodies and kept the children safe by helping them find food and shelter. Due to being foxes they had the bodies of toddlers and this allowed them to run away and remain hidden. The two children stayed hidden for another 5 years when they were finally found and dragged off to the castle where they are forced to wear re-enforced gloves and sock like shoes to prevent them from scratching anyone. There are times where the two children wear muzzles because they do bite if the feel the need to in fights and things.

Name: Aelin

Age: 16 (Winter child)

Appearance: Snow White hair down to her waist the style changes on what mood Rowan is in because he does her hair for her. She looks a lot like her brother but with slightly softer features and purple eyes. She has a smaller frame than her brother and is slightly shorter than him around his eye level about 6 ft 5". She has the ears and tail of an Artic fox but her ears are slightly larger than normal leaving people confused as to what type of fox she is. She too has sharp claws on her hands and feet.

Personality: Unlike Rowan who is stone Aelin is softer and kinder. She is almost always softly smiling not that she knows it. She is more trusting of people than Rowan because she believes that everyone around her is just as kind to others as they are to her.

Animal: Artic Fox. Extra fuzz please :D

Other: Since she is an Artic Fox she sheds in spring but Rowan will claim that some of the fur is his to lead the guards astray. Aelin is also blind making Rowan want to protect her more. If she likes the way you smell be careful she will randomly grab you to sniff you.

Appearance: Aelic is very small for a 17 year old boy. He is thin and has very pale skin. His bones are very light and thin, almost delicate (like a snakes). He has small, sharp/angled facial features. His eyes are bright emerald green and look like a snakes (ie. thin, vertical pupil, rest pure green). Aelic has long pure white hair that reaches the back of his knees and transitions into a light green colour from the waist area to the tips. He also have retractable venomous snake fangs, with a venom capable of killing an adult in 20 seconds flat.
Personality: Aelic is very, very quiet. He prefers to watch and learn (this is in part due to the fact that nobody has ever really talked to him before and he knows that watching gives you more information). He is exceptionally smart, having only books to read to entertain him for almost 17 years, and enjoys learning more. He is a realist and thus, usually thinks the worst of people until they have proven themselves (even though he wishes he could trust more - the Cursed are an exception, he trusts them all almost immediately). He thinks that family and friends are the most important things in this world and will protect them to his dying breath. He believes that others should be given a second chance and thus, doesn't actually hate his family though he has the right to. At first glance he is cold and analytical, but once you have gained his trust he a funny, excitable boy with a thirst for friendship and adventure. He has never had much physical contact other than to occasional beating and so, once you are his friend, you will find he is a very clingy boy. He is terrified of being alone in the dark.
Animal: White Snake
History: Aelic was born as the second child of the Aiden royal family. The King and Queen were distraught. The fact that their child was Cursed would be a scandal at least, at most, would give people the ability to completely tear down the royal family and give rule of the country over to someone else. They believed this could not happen, under any circumstances. And so, they locked Aelic deep within the new palace and told the public that their second child was still born (they were too afraid to kill him). Aelic grew up in solitary confinement in the dungeons. Although the cell was converted and he had a big bed and lots of books etc, it was still a cold, dark and damp cell. He only had one barred window and would stretch up to look out it every day, longing to see the sun. He had tutors come and teach him and servants gave him food, but other than that, he was left alone. For 17 years the royal family managed to hide Aelic's existence from the world, but the King and Queen never had another child in fear that it would also be Cursed. This caused people to become suspicious because a) royal families always had more than one child to secure their heir to the throne in case the crown prince died, and b) 17 years should have been more than enough time to get over the 'death' of their second child. And so, the King and Queen called the Snatchers in secret and got them to take Aelic away, to be placed at the old palace.
Relationship: None so far (Aelin in the future)
Other: He has a very good sense of smell and sight but just normal hearing, taste and touch. He can sense body heat and, like a snake, has a very low body temperature. Due to this, he becomes very lethargic and sleepy in winter and needs to sit in the sun for a bit before he can start the day. Aelic gets given a serum at the old palace to stop the flow of his venom and render him harmless.

I approve myself! Hehehe! Oh, and sorry guys, but Aelic can be the only royal. I'm sorry, its just that I created Aelic first and the world kinda was created around him later and I have a story already in my mind etc. Its just easier to track etc. Don't worry though, you're characters are still very important and will all play important roles in the (hopefully) future coup de ta that Aelic will start! :)

Name: Jordan Unorlox
Age: 18
Appearance: Beautiful hair that stands of end with green and brown alterations, he is small and squat looking quite fat with round eyes, his voice is very pleasant
Personality: He is a very loud individual, liking to sing as the animal he is like likes to do, the officers allow it as it does no harm and otherwise is a harmless individual who mostly does as he is told. He is seemingly quite submissive and just trying to live each day as it pasts. The one thing he has to be careful apart is that he can mimic other peoples voices with ease, a serum given to him to stop him doing it however he has since grown immune to it and is able to replicate sounds again
Animal: Lyre bird
History: Born to the lower class he didn't get noticed until he started to grow hair and his most obvious sign of being a cursed appeared. As soon as that appeared he was taken to the palace and was taken to his room where he spent most of his time writing songs for him to write

I like it! Just one thing though. Jordan wouldn't have been kept in a dark little cell if he was at the Prison of the Cursed (which is where the Snatchers would have brought him). Because it's an old palace, the 'cells' are actually rooms and they can all walk around freely etc, the guards are just there to keep an eye on them. It's kinda like a boarding school you can never ever leave! If you really want him to be kept in a cell, you can make it that he fought the guards and they kept him in solitary confinement or something......but I don't know how well that goes with his personality.....anyway, it's your choice! Once you fix that however, you will be approved! (I really like the animal you chose, it's very original!). Thanks so much for joining and I can't wait to start rping!

History: After she was born her mother died, she was raised by her father until she was 14. Her father against tradition kept her a secret till his dying breath protected Max because he had heard stories of the blessed and believed in them ignoring all mention of them being cursed however after he died she went on the run avoiding those who sought to capture her learning to take care of herself, she enjoyed the freedom of taking care of herself and learning however one night she stupidly lowered her guard and was captured by the snatchers she was eighteen at the time and taken to the prison, now she seeks to find a way to escape, and once again be free.

Relationship: Single

Other: has mastered most forms of martial arts and weapon handling, she has all the abilities of a big cat, (in this case a black panther), as well as quite a bit of the strength and speed.

Hey Skye! Thanks for joining, Max sounds awesome! Quick question though. I need more information history wise. Usually, when a Cursed is born they are taken immediately to the old palace but it seems like Max wasn't. Why? And then how did she eventually get taken by the Snatchers? There would have to be a really good reason as to why her parents looked after a Cursed instead of just sending her away. Once we fix that however, you will be good to go. :)

Hello Happy! Like Skye, thanks for joining! It's brilliant seeing new faces! I really like Tazmin! And that pic is so pretty! Just one thing and you will be good to go. You talked about her powers but can you explain what they are? They usually need to be related to her animal and I was having trouble picturing the kind of power she would have. Just a quick sentence would be fine. And who was her first boyfriend? If she had been kept in the old palace all her life the only people she would know are other Cursed and the guards. Do you want it to be like, a young, new guard or something?

Appearance: Female. Mildly wrinkled tanned, common brown eyes. Shoulder height Silvery-Blue hair with red flecks. Average height and build.
Wardrobe: A black tunic, a crimson wimple and dark purple dress pants. She has various wimples, but the rest of her clothes tends to be constant.
Personality: A split personality with separate memories. Her primary half is energetic, sociable and answers by Vylera. While her secondary half has no identifying name and is subdued, unfriendly and narcoleptic. Vylera transitions between the named and unnamed states typically after/during sleeping.
Animal: Turritopsis DohrniI - Immortal Jellyfish
History: Beyond 2 months ago, unknown due to amnesia. Vylera arrived at the palace after being mortally wounded. She has spent the last two months healing in the palace.

Forgotten History: Vyla Deferi was born to a fairly wealthy family after causing much pain to her mother pre-birth, as her head was covered in stinging hair even as an embryo.
She was immediately given to the snatchers upon her birth, and lived in the palace for thirty years.
As she became older, she surveyed her surroundings and learned the specifics of her gaolers rules and behaviour. A plan formed.

She jumped out a window and appeared to die (much blood loss, broken limbs.), and was taken to be disposed of in the way that other deceased were.
Her plan would have failed (and she buried or burned?) if the Jellyfish deity protecting her had not granted her a fast recovery.
She escaped, leaving a mortician traumatised , and hid nearby, mending the rest of her bones with time, before tearing out her fragile hair and making her way into society.

It was another twenty years before she would return to the palace, after becoming too close with a retired snatcher.
He betrayed her, and she took a blow to the head* in the struggle that followed. Taken to the palace, she was identified as Vyla Deferi and returned to her old room.

*Causing memory loss and a damaged persona in her, where another would have died.

Relationship: None remembered. Possibly a Retired Snatcher.
Other: Her hair causes mild stinging sensations on contact with skin, but the effect is superficial and causes no scaring.

Selenthe, your character is awesome! I didn't even consider a jellyfish! And I like that you made her older, it brings a different element to a group of teenagers. I just need to ask one thing, even if she has forgotten, could you still tell me her past? Cause most Cursed don't last that long out in the human world. They are brought in pretty young (even Amanda's characters only made it until they like 14ish - don't quote me). She would need to have had a very good reason to have managed to get away from the Snatchers. Once you have changed that, you will be good to go! She will have a room in the East wing (non-dangerous) and will be on the top floor (cause she's an adult). :)

Hey Skye! Max sounds cool! You need to change her age though. If she was captured at 18, how come she is 17?! Hahaha! No worries though! Once that is fixed she is good to go. I understand that as a cat she would have ears and a tail, but I also wanted to know if she would have claws or something like the fox twins? Even though she is an awesome fighter, the guards wouldn't know that and so they would place her in the West or East wing because of her physical stuff. I just need to known so I can give her a room!

History: Akira was born into a wealthy family. She was sent away by her family for the simple features that gave her away as a cursed child,The ears and the tail, She knew why they had sent her away. It would be humiliating for a family to keep a cursed child. But it was the fact she never understood why she was cursed. Akira grew up keeping to herself letting her life walk right past her until she reached the day she would die. But it was taking to long on her standards. She later opened up and made friends and soon had a boyfriend who later broke her heart. Akira never really liked her life for she had gone through a stage of depression but soon over came it with the help of her friends.

Appearance:

She has long auburn hair, brown eyes, large (delicate-looking, but actually quite strong) indigo wings, and a fondness for wearing billowy clothes. Due to her small stature, she s often thought to be younger than she is. But don't mistake small and sweet for fragile and delicate, because she is definitely not.

Personality: Rosie is a very sweet, good-natured girl. Most of the Cursed think of her as a younger sister, but she's probably smarter and sharper than all of them put together. She's very witty, and can be stubborn when she wants to be. She loves plants.

Animal: Blue Morpho Butterfly

History: Rosie was born to a noble family to whom having a Cursed child was the epitome of shame. The Duke of Starsister Moors had no qualms about sending his only child as far away as he could get her. He told her mother that she was stillborn, and that was the end of it. She grew up in the Palace of the Cursed. She is in't particularly strong or powerful, but she's been silently watching, waiting for the day a rebellion starts and she can use her own unique skills to help.
Relationship: Her dream has always been to be a mother, but she despairs of that dream ever coming true, because the only guys she knows are the Cursed, and they all see her as a younger sister (even the ones she's older than!).

Name: Delilah
Age: 16
Appearance: slim figured, golden blond hair with streaks of black, green eyes tends to wear jeans and short sleeved blouses. Her claws are always hidden except when she's attacked or whenever she sees a guard they come out from her fingers and toes though one can't see them since she wears shoes. She has to get new shoes when that happens though. She wears hats and such to hide the fact she has cheetah ears and jeans for the tail not that that was easy since that tail didn't want to stay hidden and kept coming on, so her parents had no choice but to give her holes in the butt of the bottom parts of all her clothes.

Personality: soft, sweet but will attack. She's very opinionated at times but will go with the crowd if she figures their right. She'll also go against the crowd if they're wrong and will put forth her opinions/suggestions
Animal: cheetah
History: Delilah had lived a happy life until her family was murdered in front of her eyes at the age of seven. Before their untimely deaths, Delilah had the speed of a cheetah even though she loved to run. She knows who did it and will go after them if and when she finds them. Though her parents were also Cursed, their *ahem* appearance was not as noticeable as their daughter. They really didn't want to send her to the Palace figuring they could deal with her training. However when the guards discovered there was a Cursed child close by, they hid her when guards entered their home but was unable to find who they were looking for. Hidden Delilah had watched as the guards killed her family and a terrible need filled her, to find the one responsible and take him down. When her family lay dead and the guards gone, Delilah left and went into hiding. However at the age of 12, she was caught and sent off to the Palace. Not a big thing for her since she still harbors that deep seated hatred for the guards for killing her family. Since then Delilah keeps to herself and survives on her own.

Hi guys I love seeing new characters I really do so does Heather but those of you who have choosen a potentially dangerous cursed e.g. Fox. Can you please tell us if they have Claws or fangs like Rowan and Aelin. This just allows us to place your character in the correct wing and tells us how the guards are to treat you.

They finally got her at age 12. She was a bit indiscreet, you might say. All's she can say is...Oops!

Hey Floral! Thanks so much for making a character, though I have a few things I need you to change before I can approve her. The main thing is that her history needs changing. Whilst her history is cool, it just would not happen in this world. Those born as Cursed are sent away as babies or when they are very young. There are some VERY rare occasions where a person doesn't want to send their Cursed child away but they are very few and far between and are usually normal civilians. A noble/wealthy family would NEVER keep a Cursed child, it is the height of shame. They would have sent her away immediately. The only way she could have escaped the Snatchers notice for a while was if she had no real physical differences (for example, she was a bat and had good hearing but that was that). Those with no real physical differences are harder to catch but as a dire wolf, Akira would have a tail and ears, a clear sign she was Cursed. I'm sorry, but her history just doesn't work so you will need to change that.
Language wise, this is another country in another world so those languages don't really exist. The main country is Aiden and they all speak the same language though I'm sure some of the islands have other languages. You can just say she knows some island languages. Oh! And does she have any physical things? She would definitely have a tail and ears but anything else? It helps me place her in a wing.

Hey Dionne! Thanks for creating a character! She sounds cool, but I have a few questions regarding her history and appearance. She is a cheetah so she would be naturally very fast but would also have ears and a tail. Can you put this in your character description? Also, most Cursed are sent away to the Palace of the Cursed at a very young age because having a Cursed child is the height of shame etc. Why didn't her parents send her away? Perhaps own of her parents was also a Cursed but one with very unnoticeable features so they alluded capture or something. You must have a very good reason otherwise her history wont work. Also, does she have any claws or anything? (I need to know so I can place her in the right wing).

Hey everyone! I love that you are all creating charries, this is so exciting! I have a few things so say though. First of all, can we not chat in the characters thread? Cause it creates confusion for everyone else etc. If you need to ask other people things, there is a chat thread. I will be deleting these posts to clear the clutter in a few days so make sure you know what was discussed. The second thing was, you CAN NOT reserve animals. Its first come first served. If you want an animal, create a charrie or SPECIFICALLY come ask me. I may let you reserve it if you have a good reason, but I may not. Third thing, a lot of you seem to be confused with the history section of your charries. I probably didn't make myself clear and I'm sorry about that. Most Cursed are sent to the Palace of the Cursed as BABIES because having a Cursed child is the height of shame. VERY FEW parents keep a Cursed child and very few Cursed children manage to live on their own out there. Amanda's charries are exceptional fighters and they only managed a few horrible years by themselves outside before being captured. Most are taken by the Snatchers within a few weeks. The only reason a parent may not send away their Cursed child was if they themselves were Cursed and just didn't have noticeable physical differences and they managed to escape capture or if they knew a Cursed and so had a different opinion or if they didn't know their kid was Cursed. Most of the Cursed at the Palace, from the babies right up to the adults have been there their entire lives. Some are even second generation Cursed. Fourth and last thing, you NEED to write in your description if your charries has any abilities or physical things thanks to their god/goddess. For example, my charrie Aelic has snake fanges, has a lower body temp and can sense heat signatures. You need to say stuff like that too, other wise we wont know a) what they can do, b) what they look like and c) which wing to put them in.

(Just double checking, her parents were Cursed but they didn't have noticeable physical characteristics and so they escaped capture. They had a Cursed child but obviously they didn't want to send their child to a prison for their kind so kept her hidden. However, someone found out and told the Snatchers - who also work as guards sometimes - and they came to find her. Instead, they found her parents and killed them because they couldn't find her. She escaped, lived on her own for a bit but was eventually captured by the Snatchers and sent to live in the Palace of the Cursed. She harbours a grudge against those who killed her parents and wants to kill them. Sound right?)

Hey guys! Just for those who are starting out, and want to rp, there are a few charries with no one to interact with (if they are willing). Jorden is in the gardens, someone is in the music room I think, and Max is in the hallways/corridors. My charrie probably wont interact with Max so even though he is there, Max is pretty much free. Vyla is currently getting a tour from an NPC Owl (who is pretty much the head Cursed) but if you want to interact with Vyla, I'm pretty sure Selenthe wouldn't mind (I don't). Hope this helps!

Appearance: Longer red hair and a paler complexion. He has smallish eyes, that are brown. Caleb is tall, and often slouches because of it. Like a red panda, when threatened, he'll stand up to his full height, reaching about 7'0. Caleb has small, sharp claws. (The picture is the closest I could find to what I wanted. Just fill in some of my details.)



Personality: Caleb is smart about things, and is often like a detective. He observes, but stands up for his friends. Caleb enjoys a good fight, though his red panda instincts tell him to flee. He is good natured and is a loyal friend. Caleb tends to be up at night, due to his red panda nature, and often takes to taking walks at night.

Animal: Red panda (Ailurus fulgens)



History: Caleb was born to a family where his father was a detective, and his mother was normal. When Caleb was born, his father resented him, thought his mother loved him. His mother was one who didn't think of the Cursed as cursed. The Snatchers didn't immediately come to get Caleb since at first he didn't show many signs of being a Cursed. His mother cherished those moments, but then Caleb was taken away. Caleb grew up at the Palace, growing at abnormally fast speeds. He doesn't have much memory of his family, though he is like them in a way. When he was older, Caleb found a friend, Kit, who took a special liking to him. Caleb thought of her as a younger sister, and they are now 'partners in crime'

Appearance: Long brown hair with slight curls at the ends. She has a few freckles, but not many. Kit is of average height. She has a tail, and essentially wings of furry skin that start at her wrists and end at her ankles.



Personality: Kit is an adventurous girl. She loves to explore and is a bit sly. She's funny, and often is found in a perky mood.

Animal: smoky flying squirrel (Pteromyscus pulverulentus)



History: When the Snatchers came to take Kit, her animal instincts kicked in. Because of her wings, she was able to glide short distances. She ran from the Snatchers, but was found within about 2 days. When she came to the Palace, she made friends with Caleb, and they are now 'partners in crime'.

Hey Dionne! I just re-checked this page and noticed you edited your things. Sorry, my computer didn't tell me so when we were talking in the questions thread I got super confused. Now that you have changed her and she has claws, she will be in the West wing. Hope this makes everything clear! :)
