Aurora sat in the waiting room, rubbing her hands together, as if trying to rub the stress and the worry away. She really needed this job. She was practically starving on the streets, but she had enough to get her through two weeks if she rationed and with the kind handouts that she sometimes got or when she asked someone for help. She just hoped this guy wasn't one that she had asked previously. Though, he was a CEO, he probably didn't remember any of the homeless he saw on the streets, especially her, since she didn't really stick out. That's also what she was worried about. She had no makeup to make herself stick out more. She had gotten comments on it the whole time she was here. That, or they just talked behind her back.Suddenly, as if to bring her out of her little mindset, a woman looked over at her, "Are you Aurora Neilson?" She asked, leaning over. The woman, she looked so nice and dressed up, her hair so perfect, there wasn't a hair out of place. She couldn't believe it.... She was so gorgeous, she was jealous.
She nodded to her, "Yes, that's me." She said, standing up, hoping that this was going to go well. This was the tenth job interview that she had this week, and the other ones had turned her down on the spot when they realized that she didn't have a home.... Who wanted a dirty worker anyways? She tried to clean up as best as she could, but most of them caught her freshening up in the bathrooms and trying to get herself as clean as she could. They usually kicked her out. She was just glad that it hadn't happened here at this point. Actually, a woman had helped her, it was the sweetest thing she had gone through.
"It's your turn. Please come with me." She said, starting to take her to the CEO's office. The two of them didn't talk much, just small talk about asking how each other was and what they liked to do. Just to fill the air so it wasn't awkward. No one liked being awkward. And this was reality, people weren't as jerky in real life as they were portrayed in movies.
They reached a heavy set of gray doors, it complementing the walls perfectly. Rory breathed in deeply, the doors being opened by the other lady, her nodding and giving her a smile, "Thank you." She said, then walked inside. She held her hands in front of her body. She was dressed in a gray tank top, a blazer over it. It had a small stain on the bottom part of it that she was trying to hide with her hands that were clasped in front of her. Her pants matched even though they didn't look nearly as nice as they should. Another reason she couldn't get a job. They didn't like how she dressed because she couldn't afford nicer things. Oh, she hated how people thought that you had to start higher than the bottom to get to the top. You had to be able to actually start to get anywhere, and she... well... wasn't able to. "Good afternoon." She said, breaking the silence in the room, not wanting it to go on to the man who had been interviewing all day. "My name is Aurora Neilson... It's a pleasure to meet you."

The party was extravagant, something that CHR wasn't used to. Sure, he lived in a huge house with the nicest things, but the thing was though, it wasn't happy or flashy. Well, it was very flashy, but very boring. That was weird to say.... His house was huge and rich looking, but the stuff that happened on the inside of the house was anything but. That's what ruined it. He walked around the party, dressed up in his nicest outfit and trying to figure out ways to get into the inner circle. There was something that needed to happen with the mayor, even if he had to kill him himself. There was no way that he could afford to let his father down.
He walked through the party, looking at people and waving at the young ladies that looked at him, blushing and giggling. He was used to that, they all usually liked him since they thought that he looked like a bad boy, but just posh enough to not be a real threat. How silly of them to think that the cover of a book could protect them. Idiots. That's what they were. They were all idiots who didn't know how the world really worked. He on the other hand understood more than he liked to share.
He ducked out of the party, not wanting to be in there for longer than he had to. He was trying to sneak back into the office to see if he could find anything that could be of help to him. The mayor had to be hiding something that would knock him off of his throne, right? He was just close enough to the office when he saw the girl that he really didn't want too see. The mayor's daughter. He could always take her hostage and put a gun to her head until the mayor stepped down.... Yeah.... That could work!
Rory looked at the man and then the room, though, she didn't let her eyes wander too much, not wanting to seem easily distracted. Sure, she wanted to look around the room, but this wasn't the time. She kept her eyes on the man who now put on a smile and she could feel the cool sweat beading on her back from fear of rejection. She couldn't handle anymore of being turned down, she needed this job so desperately, though, she wasn't going to turn into a blubbering begging mess, that wasn't what anyone wanted, and that's not what she wanted to be.She nodded to him, sitting down on the chair that he offered her, happy to sit down, though, it felt a little scary still. She was now sitting at the man's desk, even though she wasn't right up to it, it was a comfortable distance, so she didn't feel as if she was trapped. She then just waited for him to start the interview, her heart hammering in her chest, and her cut hands were continuing to rub against each other, her nervous tick.

He honestly didn't care about the girls that were looking at him and waving, he never did. He was better off alone, that's how he felt about his life. He was going to be married off to some other gang leader's daughter to tie them together and make allies with them, at least, that's what was going to happen if anyone wanted to do that. Though, none of them really had daughters, all of them had sons it seemed. Their daughters were too young anyways, most still under the age of 15. Far too young for him.
He looked at the girl, waiting for her to walk by and he hoped that she wouldn't come near him. Carry on little girl, you don't wanna know what the big bad wolf is doing. He thought, trying not to glare, even though that was his normal face. That's how he was at school anyways. He glared at everyone, and no one wanted a thing to do with him, well, if they knew about him. He was usually so invisible that no one knew he was even in that school, even if they sat right next to him.
[Just a lovely little bloop. I usually only remind after a few days, so I won't spam. ;) Just to make sure that you haven't forgotten.]
((It's alright. I've been watching Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy all night anyways. ;) Looking forward to your response. Hope you have fun volunteering. :) ))
((It's alright. XD I'm not sure of what they'd ask either. That makes sense, so let's do it. ;) ))Rory knew that she probably wasn't going to get the job, the prime source of her nervousness. She just needed something. She needed something so she could actually start. She wanted to do so much more with her life. She wanted to get a home that she could share with someone that she loved, raise a family, be happy. She wanted to feel safe, she wanted so much more that this world had to offer but she couldn't get her hands on. This job... this job would really help her get started, she just needed the chance. Please, oh, give me the chance...
She looked at the man who kept looking at her hands, her trying to stop her moving. She flattened her hands on her lap, not wanting him to think that she was some freak. Did this guy want the real world or did he want someone off of television? Which one did he want for the job? She wasn't going to lie about herself at all. That would put her farther into the hole with people than she started out with.
Though, there was something that was different about this man... She was still nervous, yes, but... he made her feel a little more comfortable. That smile, it felt genuin. It sounded like he actually cared... She couldn't tell if it was an act that he was putting on really well, or if it was true. Either way, her voice didn't shake. It was sweet like caramel and just as smooth. "Well... As you probably can tell... I don't have a home." she started out.... point out a weakness, then point out the strengths, she had to remember that. "I've applied for many jobs... but this job is different than the rest. The other jobs have been just because they were there. I saw your ad and it was something I actually like. I really care about this job, even though I don't have it. I love people, so working with groups, setting up appointments, and speaking to clients and other coworkers is just what I'm made for." She smiles to him, a genuine one. Her eyes lit up quite a bit, too, making her gorgeous green eyes pop. "This would also be an excellent start that will put me back on my feet so I can continue to grow as a person. I love helping people, so helping you will be quite enjoyable for me, too." She said, not sure if she was saying the right things, but she was saying the true things. She knew that she could do this job because she had an interest in it. She actually cared about this one.

This damned party was horrible. There were people crawling everywhere. There was no way that he was going to be able to get back to that damned office he needed so much. Dammit! He ended up having a conversation with one of the important people in the senate, though, he didn't learn anything there either. When they asked who he was, he said that he was from a different town and gave a bullshit name. He said that he was the son of one of their richer families here to make an appearance for his parents. They must be stupid or something, because they believed him right off the bat. They were either stupid or he was a good actor... Actually, come to think of it, he'd rather believe the actor than they were stupid. So that's the one that he was going to take.
Through the party, girls started working up the courage he wished that they didn't have. They started walking up, asking him to dance and starting conversations. He hated that he had to act like he was enjoying himself. He ended up having to dance with three of them and ended up in far too long conversations with two of the others. He was getting heated, he couldn't walk anywhere without someone interrupting him!
He looked towards one of the doors, making a quick escape, one of the only things that he was pro at, escaping a room. He ended up in the garden, a place he knew that he could hide in, maybe make a call to his father that he couldn't find anything. See if he would know anyway to get in. He pulled out his phone as he walked through the pathways through the greenery. Yeah, it was gorgeous out here, but he honestly couldn't care less. He pulled out his phone, the blue lights lighting up his face, his gray eyes popping. He scrolled through, seeing that he got a few texts from some of the other guys that were in the gangs, though, it was mostly in friendly ways than in working. Though, there was one that was asking him about the best knife that he could get for a robbery.... He started typing out which one he preferred.
He looked up though, hearing it. Hearing walking in the garden with him. He switched off of his text to the knife to a friendly one, a guy asking if he wanted to go out to the batting cages in a few days.
Kate looked at the man, waiting for the next question, completely ready to answer it. Then it was that one. The one that she dreaded. She tried not to drain herself, thinking that he might like that she at least had a job before. "Before here I volunteered at the library of my school, so I have some experience organizing and speaking with people. I was also a waitress before. So, I have the people skills to be able to work with them and make sure that I say all the right things with a smile on my face, no matter what they say to me." She also knew that she had experience from not getting upset from the people that turned her down or just spoke down to her right to her face of how she was disgusting. Yeah, she was used to it. She knew how to hide her discomfort. For the most part. "I can organize things as well, make sure that everything is in its place, and make sure nothing overlaps or gets lost."~~~~
Chr looked over when she spoke to him, watching her get closer to him. He had to put on a face. It was a hard choice, picking from intimidation to sweet. He chose sweet, which was completely out of his character. Though, he was sure that his coldness shone through even the sweetest of looks. He put his phone in his pocket, "It is? Forgive me, I didn't know." He said, looking at her with a soft smile. He could pull it on nicely, and with his hatred of smiling, it was actually rather gorgeous if you knew that he didn't smile or not.
"Yes, it's tiring to have so many girls clinging to you when you really have no care to flirt at all." He said, shrugging his own shoulders, wondering if that would get him off of his case, too. Though, he really needed to get close to someone here, and she was just the person to get close to. He listened to her rant as well, "So you and I are one in the same, are we?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Hating the rich and fancy things, knowing that there are more important things to be doing than go to a party where honestly no one cares unless they're the ones stuffing their pockets?"
Kate looked at him, answering all of the questions that he threw at her with complete honesty. She did relax over time little at a time. She was then asked the final question, and she knew it was the final question, because it was put into her hands. The interview was put into her hands. The questions that she would ask.... "What exactly would I be doing for this job if I got the job?" She asked, wanting to make sure that she was going to be able to do it and wrap her mind about everything that she would have to learn if she wasn't able to do it right off the bat. She also needed to know who would be training her and how long he would allow to learn.~~~~
He smiled at her, "I would donate the money to a special team to go and save children from their abusive parents." He said, "And to take down every drug dealer that misuse their children." He said, shrugging his shoulders. "They don't deserve to have to go through hell just because their parents decided to put them there. All kids deserve to live in happiness." He said, "Then after they were saved, I'd donate money to bounce them back if they fell into the hole with their parents, and then I'd help them learn what they would like to do better."
He didn't know why people liked people crawling all over them like she said that she would like. "They don't actually care who you are." He said, "I know from experience. They want to know what your parents do and how much money that they can marry into their family. At least, that's what I've gotten mostly."
Rory looked at the man, guessing that this was the last time that she was going to see him, but she asked another question, "How long do you allow for training on things?" She asked, "I'd need a refresher on how to use a lot of the technology, but I'm a fast learner, so it wouldn't take me too long. I was just curious." She said, knowing that she should probably leave before she irritated the man. ~~~~
Chr looked at the girl and let her talk. He understood where she was coming from. His father was a gang leader, and he was the one that killed for it. He had seen him do it with his own two eyes. He could remember the screams of the other person, the way their blood looked. It was what turned Chr into the cold person that he was today. He smiled a little bit, "I wish that I wasn't born into the family that I'm in." He said, "I hate being rich." He would much rather be poor. Yes, he'd rather be poor than be rich and be with the family he was in. Though, that was the difference. She probably liked her parents, he didn't. He hated his father with a burning passion, though, he worked for him. Why? Because he liked breathing. That's why. The man was cold enough to murder his own son, that was for damn sure.
((haha, alright. XD))She looked up at him, smiling at him as he answered, knowing that she could probably figure it out rather quickly, "I'm a very fast learner, so with me it wouldn't take a long time to make sure that I've gotten everything. It takes me two or three times to get it, but it's usually very fast, especially if I'm doing it often." She said, giving him a kind smile. "But no, that's pretty much all I was wondering." She said, now knowing that the interview was over. God, this was going to be horrible. She knew that there were other people downstairs that were far better suited for this than she was. What was she going to do after this? She had no idea... Probably try at one of the McDonalds again, even though she had been turned down for every single one of them so far.
~~~~
He watched her, giving her a small smile. He was surprised that the little rich girl thought that she wanted to be not rich... It was cute. Though, he didn't know how she would react if she wasn't spoiled. Yeah, Chr was cold, that's how he would be until someone actually got close and warmed up his ice heart a little bit. Maybe a lot. Who knew how much he needed until he was a normal human being and he could see the light instead of the dark in everything.
He held his hand out when the introductions came out, "Chr." He said, smiling at her, though, his wasn't warm, he couldn't muster up a warm smile if he wanted to. So a plain old smile was going to have to work for right now. "It's a pleasure to meet you." He said, bowing his head to her.
Rory was ready to be told goodbye and to know that she was never going to hear from him again or this job... But when he said that he didn't need to see anyone else, she looked up at him in shock. Sh-She had gotten the job? She couldn't hide the excitement on her face or the bright joy that filled her body from toes to the tip of her head. Tears pricked in her eyes, her smile breaking out into a blinding smile, "Thank you so much, sir! You will not regret this!" She said, her voice booming with happiness. She got the job! She could get back on track! She could do so much! Now that she got the chance, she was not going to let this one go!~~~~
Chr looked at the girl, taking his hand back after they shook and put it back into his pants pockets. She was adorable as she started to rant, he even had to admit that, and he had no interest in women that much. Well, he would if he wasn't in the case that he was. "I'm enjoying the party now that I'm getting to talk to you." He said, not really meaning for it to sound like a flirt, but he honestly was sort of flirting. "And for my home, no, we don't usually have these. We have little get togethers with people that my father works with, but that's about it."
She nodded to him, bowing her head to him, "thank you so much." She said, grinning largely. She looked up at him, eyes sparkling with a whole new happiness than when she walked in. This one was like stars in her eyes, the light that so many people that had everything didn't even have. Heaven was in her eyes, the clouds and the comfort. "I won't let you down!" She said, going and starting her training with the woman that she was going to be taking the job of.The woman nodded, "First off, I'm going to go and tell the others that the position has been filled. Please stay back here." She said, giving the young woman waited, glad she didn't have to see their faces fall when they found out that they weren't going to get this job. Her heart sunk a little, wondering how many needed the job as well, but she was sure that they would be able to find other ones. She prayed that they would. She closed her eyes, waiting, praying for the other's safety and well being while her prayers were being answered.
~~~~
Chr nodded, keeping that cool smile on his lips, even though he honestly couldn't feel any warmth from it, just the coldness of his heart. "It is sometimes. Sometimes they get into arguments and fights break out. But it's all fine in the end." He said, not knowing if the fighting was normal. She probably would think that it was just bickering and harsh words bouncing back and forth between the people. But oh no. It was knives, guns, and fists. Nothing regal or formal about it. "I don't have that many friends, so I wouldn't know how that would be." He said, smiling over at her and shrugging.
((It's alright. :) I hope you had fun with it.))
The day was a new one and Rory was awake before the sun could even wake in the sky. She was up and about as she gathered her things and ate what she had left over. She was hoping that she might be able to find something there that she could have to eat. She was hoping so much that she would be able to make it through the day without any mishaps. She had to make sure of it. This was the job that was going to save her life. She had already spent far too long on these streets, she couldn't handle anymore of it. She would die before the age of 30 if she did.
She made it to the office about forty-five minutes before she was due and went into the bathroom, freshening herself up to make sure that she was presentable as she could be. She had her hair all done up nice, she even invested in a little hair wash and washed her hair in the sink and dried it with a ratty old towel that she had. She was just glad that no one had walked in. Everyone else probably wouldn't be in here for quite some time anyways. Though, when they did start to come in, she made an escape to one of the booths to change and get everything else ready. She pushed everything that wasn't needed into the sack and then left. She was so worried. She checked her breath after she had brushed her teeth with the items that she had. (Toothpaste and toothbrushes lasted awhile so they were easy to get when you had a little bit of money laying around.... Which was rare. Which was great that they lasted so long!) She smelled fine, so she headed to her work.
She still had about 20 minutes left to spare as well. She was just hoping and praying that he would find this impressive and keep her on.... Anything to prolong her stay as long as possible. She walked to the desk, not sure of where she was really supposed to go, she was just hoping that the secretary would already be there. She bit her lip, asking where the woman she was supposed to be taught by was to a random worker.
~~~~
He looked at her, seeing the small frown that spread on her lips, though, she had stopped herself. He caught it, it was easy to catch. She didn't want to smile in front of people, it was normal. He shrugged his shoulders, giving her a small smile, "Mostly in general. I have one real friend. The rest are just.... coworkers." He shrugged, not sure of how else he was going to put it. They weren't close enough to even be called acquaintances.... Oh, bother. Talking to rich people was very hard indeed, always worried if you were using the right words when you were pretending to be one of them. Though, he felt that he was doing pretty good. If it was anyone else, then they would have already screwed up and probably had shot the place up to make sure that they weren't followed out.
The two of them talk in the interview, and when he's about to turn her down, he gets a strange feeling in his heart. He tells her that she got the job, and that she starts in two days.
As the days go on, she does show up for work, never late. She usually comes in about an hour early and she starts cleaning herself up in the bathroom as best as she can with just a rag and some soap. She washes her hair as well and dries off with a ripped up towel.
She is a hard worker, she is loving, and very kind. The streets had not destroyed her. She is happy go lucky, and he soon falls in love with it. He starts helping her out, getting her clothing that she can wear and keep at work. He buys her blankets and food so she won't starve or freeze. She accepts all of it, always breaking out into tears from how grateful she was....
One day, he makes up his mind to invite her to live with him, knowing that he had enough room. But she doesn't come to work. He takes the day off, going around town to try and find the woman that had stollen his heart, searching all over the city....
But where did she go...? Where does she stay....? Where is the woman with the bright eyes...?
Requirments:
This is a MxF, you are the man and I'm the woman. We can do doubles as well, we just have to add in another story line, which I'm totally good with.
I need someone that will stick with me on the roleplay, come and help me with ideas.
Detailed, at least a paragraph every post. I understand when there isn't much to say and it is cut down to only a few sentences.
I want someone that cares about the roleplay and will get attatched and will be friendly with me. (Because who doesn't want to make friends?)
Who's in?
