I noticed Walk on Earth a Stranger is on sale ($2) at Amazon for Kindle. I liked it, so I kind of want to buy it, but I don't know if I'll ever want to read it again.I think the last book I bought was Felicia Day's memoir because it includes a ticket to see her. She's coming to ABQ at the end of April!

I personally liked Walk on Earth a Stranger but it wasn't what I was expecting. If you are a history buff who likes historical novels it's probably right for you. If are more into magical/paranormal/fantasy genres and DON'T like historical novels then it probably isn't. I found it to be very lacking in her whole 'gold finding' ability. :(
Yes, I agree. I enjoyed the historical pioneer-y aspect, but her gold finding ability is almost irrelevant.

Well I just preordered several books and now need to stop spending money. At least I'll have these beauties on release day.
I'll also have Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection and White Sand but they don't have covers on them yet.

[b..."Nice haul! :)
I've been meaning to start the Raven Boys series and Six of Crows is one of the books I own that I haven't gotten to read yet. :/
You should definitely read Raven Boys! And Six of Crows. I'm hoping to reread it in July or August before Crooked Kingdom comes out at the end of September, so let me know if you want to buddy it!

If I don't I'll try to BR Six of Crows with you in July or August and read the Raven Boy Cycle books in May. ^-^
Cool!Kylara, I shouldn't spend so much on books but I can't help myself. I'm only buying Raven King because I'm going to London on May 5th and want to read it before that. I know my library won't have it.
is on sale for $2 in the Kindle store. It's on my to-read list so I think I'll buy it. But I'll actually start reading now for a change, that way I can return it if I don't want to keep it. I hate the idea of how much money I've spent on horrible books.
Also, I had a neat idea today. I'm going to post a pic of my bookshelves later today. I think it would be fun to see everyone else book shelves.
Hope you enjoy the book! That's one reason I'm generally very careful about the books I buy; I don't want to waste money on the ones I don't like!Good idea about the book shelf! I should try and get some pictures of mine to post.
Courtney wrote: "Looks like a nice group, Bookbuyer! I hope that Korean book is helpful!"I do too! I've tried the Japanese version of the book that I've got from the library (It's really good! :D) but it doesn't have the Korean version of many of the rest of the series. :/
It's good that you've already had some positive experience with it then! It's hard to find those types of books for the Asian languages near where I live. Spanish is everywhere, as well as some of the other popular European languages. I have friends who speak Japanese and Korean. They served missions for our church in those countries, so it's cool to ask them questions about it. :)

I mostly find Korean resources online and through watching Korean dramas.
Has anyone read
? It's onsale in the Kindle store this month and I'm thinking about buying it. Worth it?
Oh, also I recently bought
bc Felicia Day came to town for a book signing. Now I don't know where to shelve it. I don't have a memoir section of my shelves. Maybe I'll put it with my writing books?
I haven't read
, but I know loads of people who love it. So if it's your kind of read then I'd say go for it, based on what I've heard from others. I think a writing shelf would be appropriate for that one. :)

I just bought Red Rising. I decided to go ahead and get it before reading it this month. month. It was only $7 for a nice hardback.
I bought
and got it signed by the author. I also got a sweet stash of free books. I'll have to take a picture.
I'm kind of in the middle of it. It got put on pause for a while, but I'll probably pick it up and finish it this month
Well I hope you enjoy it. I liked it when I read it, but haven't decided if I want to pick up the sequel.
Just got my copy of Stay the Distance in the mail today and I'm so excited! I've read it a couple times on kindle, but I'm so happy to have a physical copy now! :D
Got my copy of White Sand by Brandon Sanderson in the mail today! (For some reason I thought it was coming out last week...) So excited to read it. I think this is the only graphic novel I own.
Just bought a few books today. The War that Saved My Life and Summer and Bird, which both look really good. Also a second copy of Out of the Easy.
C P wrote: "Very nice! I still haven't decided if I'll read The Cursed Child or not..."I'm iffy about it as well since I'm still not clear on whether it's a play or novel. Either way I had to have it to complete my collection though. :/
Yeah. I think it's a play. But I haven't seen anything specifically talking about how it's formatted.
C P wrote: "Yeah. I think it's a play. But I haven't seen anything specifically talking about how it's formatted."I guess I'll find out in about a week or so. :/
I'm super excited for Cursed Child since there's basically no way I'll ever be able to see it, but preorder costs $50 :( I just don't think I can justify spending that much!
