Here is a thread for our favorite Underground leader, Cade! Because he needs a thread too and is my favorite. ;)

Sooo, Cade...I've never really been able to work him out. He seems okay one minute but then I return to being rather unsure. I haven't decided about him yet.

I can definitely see that, but that kind of mysterious character is one of my favorites, so... XD

Cade is so interesting because he's not bad, but he's not really a hero either. He's just...human. And complicated. And...how does one put up that spoiler tag I've seen some people using?

And you make a spoiler tag like this: "< spoiler > (text) < / spoiler >" (just get rid of the spaces. :))

@Deborah: Oh yay, you found a way to explain it! I was just sitting at my desk thinking of some way to put it legibly but so it didn't turn into the actual spoiler thing! :) Didn't think of putting spaces.

Haha, yes! It's so difficult to explain stuff like that. XD I could have also said that you just click the "some html is ok" thing above the comment box, and then copy-paste whichever format thing you want, because that's what I do sometime, especially for links or images. ^_^

I think Cade's problem is he is so focused exacting his revenge on those who have hurt him in the past that he doesn't take care of the people he has. He is selfish, he wants to get vengeance and he doesn't think about the people who are endangered by that, he is also power hungry and doesn't want to admit when he is wrong or when there is a better way to do things.

Has anyone here read the Westmark books by Lloyd Alexander? Cade's character type reminds me a little of Florian from those... :)

I like how Cade is complex because he is not quite just for revenge... a lot of his motivation seems to be for it, but there is his little sister too. He also seems to have a bit of backstory there too.

Don't worry. I don't dislike him. Him and his sister are really sweet together. :)
