Gillian St. Kevern is an author of paranormal romance and urban fantasy. Originally from New Zealand, she currently lives in Japan and has visited over twenty different countries. Her writing is a celebration of the diverse people she meets.

As a chronic traveller, Gillian is interested in journeys rather than endings, writing characters that grow and change to achieve their happy ending. Her stories cross genres, time-periods and continents, taking readers along for an unforgettable ride.

Let's see. I'm currently working on two projects, but I think the one Raevyn is curious about is a sequel to Deep Magic, a paranormal romance I wrote for last year's DRitC event (it's available for free here)

Deep Magic is set in Wales. Morgen Curse takes place in my backyard (figuratively) -- the Antipodes Islands, a remote sub-antarctic island group that is a haven for endangered seabirds and marine animals. It has seals, two species of penguins, albatross and a small, secretive population of morgen you will not find mentioned on wikipedia.

Ieuan is a young morgen in a lot of trouble. The storm he sung up to soothe his broken heart attracted the attention of the Cursed One, an underwater sorcerer exiled from the morgen group for an awful crime. But the Cursed One wants Ieuan's help to save a life -- that of Zane, a sailor shipwrecked in Ieuan's storm. Ieuan finds himself drawn into the Cursed One's impossible task against his better judgement. But as his morgen kin mount a search for him, Ieuan's help might be all of their undoing.

Morgen Curse is not a sequel -- exactly. And it's not exactly a romance either. It's a beginning.

Extremely pleased to announce that Uprooted (Thorns and Fangs #2) has been accepted by NineStar! I am extremely happy to be bringing you the next chapter of Nate and Ben's journey.

Also, I am currently working on another sideways sequel, this time for The Ugliest Sweater! Once again, Aston's Christmas is not going to plan.

Books three and four in the Thorns and Fangs series are scheduled to come out in January and February, bringing Nate and Ben's story to a close. I'm really excited about that—and the release of my third seasonal story, The Charity Shop Rejects Live in Concert right now!
