Read Scotland 2016 discussion

I just got done watching series 1 & 2 of Reign on Netflix. Despite being more on the romantic side and not exactly following history, I still enjoyed it! Makes me want to read more about Mary Queen of Scotland and Queen Catherine de' Medici. I'm not sure why I'm so intrigued with queens. What are some book recommendations involving Scotland Royalty?

Here's two on Mary. The Antonia Fraser one is long and very thorough and somewhat tough to get through unless you are really a history buff. I have not read Nancy Brysson Morrisons book but have The Gowk Storm by her (I think I sent it to you?). I think she has a lovely way with words and she is a Scot. I'd probably say try to find a used copy of hers online.

I just started watching "Reign" on the weekend, at the suggestion of a colleague. I got to episode 7 of series 1, and gave up; I need to stick to books I think. *LOL*

Peggy, you did send me that book. I haven't gotten in to it yet. :(. I have the other two books on my TBR list. We have been so busy and my mind can't stay focused. Makes reading difficult. That's why I watch Reign.
