I recently read No. 2 on your list and loved it, hope you enjoy it! :)

I loved Love in a Cold Climate when you come to it - and it's a very easy read!

Wow, that's a great challenge with all the classics. I just finished Don Quixote for my climb and seemed like it took me for ever with two volumes of 500+ Pages each. So well worth it though and had been on my TBR for years. Good luck on your climb! :)

Wow 700 pages on the other one, you do have some big books planned! And yes I recommend Don Quixote it was a lot of fun, but get an annotated version, I wouldn't have gone through it without it. After reading such a huge book I went with Animal Farm which had been on my TBR for ages, it was a nice little break ;)

I keep breaking up my reading of "Midnight's Children" with other things. Sometimes you just have to be in the right mood.
