Anyone reading any short stories while you read the goliverse selection? I was rereading a short story in a scifi anthology "Rachel In Love" by Pat Murphey it always gets me. A father tragically looses his wife and daughter in a car wreck but luckily "since it' scifi" he had been working on imprenting minds of one animal into another. He had his daughter's brain pattern on file and put it into a chimp. After his death while still coming to terms with her shared memories with the chimp the father dies leaving Rachel to fend for herself. She ends up in a research institute falling in love with first a human than a chimp. It's a very moving story especially when she is going between human memories and chimp memories. Does anyone else have a short story they love?

I am reading some F Scott Fitzgerald short stories, but it is hard to get past the sexism, racism, and elitism in his books. He actually used the word "darkies" in a non-ironic way. Ugh.
As for ones I love I love Borges short stories, especially the Labyrinth collection (necessary to read if you like Name of the Rose). I haven't read as many short stories as I might like, I am working on fixing that.
always gotta find more time to read lol yea it's rough reading some of the old scifi the way they treated other cultures and women is not so good.
I am starting Crow Fair by Thomas McGuane. I heard a short story of his called Cowboy and it got me interested in trying one of his books.
