I don't think he'll suffer from lycanthropy, just a mild case of affluenza. However, he'll be sexy good cop to Reed's sexy bad cop,

Wade barely showed up in the first novel and I hardly remember him, but I wouldn't mind him. Actually I'd rather Ella end up with anyone but Reed because I was not a big fan of him at all in the books.

Jk. I only threw Wade out there because he's basically the only other dude except Val's imaginary man that got mentioned. Also Wade was specifically listed as a character appearing in book two... So...

Meanwhile, Val's guy, what are we thinking? Craig's List Killer? Scientologist? Gay? Whatever it is I doubt Val has a clue. If Brooke is scratching his chest up too I won't be any more surprised than I was with this book's ending (side eye).

I really think you're right about Wade being a love interest in the sequels. Why else would he be mentioned as being one of the major characters when he barely showed up in this book.

I honestly don't know who Val's guy is. Some people had theories that the guy was actually Gideon. O_o

Waaattt Gideon? That's some kind of March Madness shit. For now I feel that Tam is what Val described to be, the son of the Housekeeper, off at school, but sans car. Whether or not he's loyal is something else.
Someone in the review thread mentioned that Val and Easton would be a fun couple though, and I thought so too. Who knows.

I'm hopelessly obsessed with the Ella-Reed thing. There's a lot to side-eye and we've been asked to suspend a tremendous amount of disbelief, but I am totally buying into Reed's damaged childhood shit. He's a dude who doesn't do emotions and so when he feels anything there so much mistranslation between his heart and his brain much less between his actions and Ella. And this story is a super rich, super hot, super big dick version of a "girl fixes boy" fantasy.

That cliffhanger is so damn close to jumping the shark that I had to reach for a lifesaver though. Whatever Gideon, Brooke and Reed are mixed up in I don't appreciate it. Ella better march right off that bus, back to her car and speed back to the Manse because the time for running away is done. we're not a stripper anymore, we're the heiress to how many hundreds of millions? We gonna let some boy do this to our future? Ella doesn't need another Royal rescue, does she?

God, no. The authors clearly described their affection for each other as brotherly. So let's not ruin a good story. I think Reed and Ella's angsty romance is one of the best things about the book. The tension between them is scorching hot. They are just one of those book couples that frustrate you but you still can't help but root for them bec. they are just right for each other. And for them not to be together is just plain wrong.To be honest, I cannot imagine Ella ending up with somebody else, especially with another Royal. It'll just be one of those angst series you would gladly throw away after liking the first book in the series. Plus aren't we getting tired of the typical love triangle bullshit among these YA books?

I'd like to see Ella go out with this Wade guy just to stir more angst between her and Reed, but I don't like her to have too intimate moments with him. I'd like Ella to be more reserved since she's that kind of girl. She's independent and strong. She doesn't need a guy to depend on bec. she's got self-respect, but she can be that teenage girl who can enjoy life instead of pining for a lost love. I just hate it when a heroine uses sex for the wrong reasons, like, to ease her pain.

If there is a love triangle (and I think there will be) I think the poor guy will just be collateral damage in the train wreck--I mean Cupid's arrow, that is Ella-Reed. Maybe the authors will surprise us and give us an equilateral love triangle? Has there ever been a real love triangle where either resulting couple would have been satisfying though? We're clearly meant to buy into and root for Ella-Reed.

All that stuff about Ella being a street smart, modern, independent orphan / survivor that we've been fed since the first chapter kind of got thrown out the window in the cliffhanger. After reading it, thinking about it and letting the emotional wave pass by I realize how out of character Ella's reaction is.

Lets be real, she's known this dude for 1 month, half of that time Reed was spreading vicious gossip, believing it, condoning and participating in bullying and even getting low key physical. So Ella has had, what, 2 weeks of 2nd and third base action? Maybe some strikeouts and fouls at home plate? Then what, the guy she wasn't even "officially" with gets caught cheating... So we do what any heiress (to millions), who is also speed-enrolled in a prestigious prep school, with a pretty solid new bff, and employed at a bakery where they bake orgasms (or some shit) would do. We abandon our custom painted gift-Benz in a bus stop, take our $1,700.00 dollars and run... Oh yeah who needs 10K a month allowance, en suite bathroom, walk-in closet, infinity pool, or any of that when our (low key emotionally abusive) fuck-buddy of 2 weeks is caught paralyzed next to a desperate hobag. I would also rather return to running from CPS, sleeping in a moldy sleeping bags and strip. Who wouldn't?

My hope is that in July we see Ella get a good sorry look in some kind of reflective surface at that bus stop, check herself, realize that Reed's hypnotic blue eyes, physique of a 28-year old and magical dick are not more important than she herself. Ella better jump back in that car and tootsie-roll her ass back to the mansion. I mean, what kind of message are we sending to the young thirsty readers (myself included) otherwise?

Her reaction makes perfect sense. She was planning on leaving from the beginning. They put her through a lot of shit and when she started to trust them and maybe fall in love with them, this happens. I might have understood if it was just Abby or whoever else but Brooke? Brooke is like her sworn enemy now. And that's his dad's ex-girlfriend. That's super gross.

P.S. She may act really tough on the outside but you can tell she's really sensitive.

I get where you're coming from. This was my favorite scene fro the book:

He kisses my shoulder, but there's nothing sexual about it. Nothing romantic in the way his hand tightens over my knuckles.

I actually LIKED Easton. The moment Easton started hitting Ella -I was screaming like efff.

Sad though, East is a plain man-whore. He can hook up with almost to anyone as much as he wanted to. I really wish he will found someone special - I wanna see East falling in love.

Easton is my favorite.I think he is the most broken one of the siblings. His relationship with Ella is more like a deep friendship, which makes me like it better than Reed X Ella because that was insta-love. However we all know its gonna be Ella x Reed, so forget Easton. I just hope at the end he finds someone nice and goes into rehab.

Ella is a pig. I ship Easton with someone worthy of him. Ella and Reed deserve each other
