Jem (jemcope) I've devoured the following:

Alpha and Omega series: Patricia Briggs
Mercy Thompson series: Patricia Briggs
All werewolf-y Kelley Armstrong books
All Molly Harpers (How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf etc)
Shifters series by Rachel Vincent

Any recommends? Will try anything in which the female protagonist has some personality and isn't too much of a Bella Swan!

Did you read The Gathering? It's Kelley Armstrong
Tiger's Curse is really good but it's more epic fantasy. I'm obsessed with those books

message 4: by Genea (new)

Genea Psy-Changeling series by Nalini Singh is a good one. And my all time favorite The Others by Anne Bishop has a mixture of supernaturals with shifters being a huge part of the story.

How do you feel about Dragon shifters The Dark Kings series

You mentioned two series by Briggs. There is also Masques and Wolfsbane, though that is part of a loosely connected series called Sianim. The book itself, though, contains two connected books - Masques and Wolfsbane. Which isn't UF or PNR (but just fantasy, since it is not set on earth), but mention it as it's (a) werewolf book(s) by Briggs not mentioned as having read.

Dana Cameron's Fangborn series, first book being Seven Kinds of Hell, involves a female lead. Who is also a werewolf.

Shei & Annathesa Darksbane's Auralight Codex series involves werewolves, and a strong female lead lead. Awakened being the first in the series.

K.R. Thompson's 'The Keeper Saga' involves werewolves. Hidden Moon being the first in the series.

The Kitty Norville series by Carrie Vaughn involves a werewolf named kitty. First book being Kitty and the Midnight Hour

message 21: by Lacey (last edited Jun 23, 2016 03:03PM) (new)

Lacey (she2beautiful) Here's a few of my faves:

Written in Red (The Others, #1) by Anne Bishop by Anne Bishop
Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock, #1) by Faith Hunter by Faith Hunter
Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison by Kim Harrison
Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews by Ilona Andrews

message 23: by Miriam (new)

Miriam Greystone | 4 comments People have already said Patricia Briggs. Aimee Easterling's Shiftless series is also great.

Shiftless

message 24: by Farren (new)

Farren (mmmcookies) This is a bit different compared to the other suggestions, but I really liked the Jane True Series, starting with Tempest Rising (Jane True, #1) by Nicole Peeler . The main characters are a selkie and a barghest, which was a nice change from the typical werewolf and shifter stories I've read.

message 25: by Sandra J (new)

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 67 comments If you don't mind OTT characters and humor, you might enjoy Shelly Laurenston's Magnus Pack and Pride series. She writes some very alpha females and a variety of shifters. As G.A. Aiken she writes a dragon shifter series. Her new Call of Crows series is very good.

Pack Challenge (Magnus Pack, #1) by Shelly Laurenston The Mane Event (Pride, #1) by Shelly Laurenston The Unleashing (Call of Crows, #1) by Shelly Laurenston Dragon Actually (Dragon Kin, #1) by G.A. Aiken

Olivia Harp (oliviaharp) | 1 comments I just published a new PNR novel. It has an alternate world, dark creatures from the shadows, and of course lots of steamy love scenes

Primal Bear (Shadowlands Bear Shifters Book 1) by Olivia Harp

message 27: by Vetti (last edited Sep 12, 2016 08:50AM) (new)

Vetti I highly recommend :

The Phoenix Pack series by Suzanne Wright
Feral Sins (The Phoenix Pack, #1) by Suzanne Wright Wicked Cravings (The Phoenix Pack, #2) by Suzanne Wright Carnal Secrets (The Phoenix Pack, #3) by Suzanne Wright Dark Instincts (The Phoenix Pack, #4) by Suzanne Wright Savage Urges (The Phoenix Pack, #5) by Suzanne Wright , etc

and

Chosen by the Vampire King series by Charlene Hartnady, which also involves werewolves, dragons and elves relationships. The 2nd book has male wolf/female vampire action, 3rd book has a triad wolf/vamp/human and 4th book has Elf/vampire.

Chosen by the Vampire Kings The Complete Edition by Charlene Hartnady Stolen by the Alpha Wolf Bundle (Stolen By the Alpha Wolf, #1-3) by Charlene Hartnady Unlikely Mates Bundle (Unlikely Mates, #1-3) by Charlene Hartnady Awakened by the Vampire Prince Bundle (Awakened by the Vampire Prince, #1-3) by Charlene Hartnady

There are spin-offs of this series that are actually quite relevant to the main story. They're called The Program (6 books about the elite team of the vampire kings finding their own mates) and The Bride Hunt (2 books about the secret dragonshifters kings finding their mate amongst humans).

The best in this? It's that the previous characters from the main series (chosen by the v.kings) are very present and you still get to see all your favorite couples, they're not forgotten and they do have a role in every book. :)

Royal Dragon (The Bride Hunt, #1) by Charlene Hartnady A Mate for York (The Program #1) by Charlene Hartnady A Mate for Gideon (The Program #2) by Charlene Hartnady

P-S: They're all available on Kindle Unlimited, Amazon
