Not a very pleasant place to be; home to the creatures of the dark.

Ignatius found himself standing in front of Theodosia, in a hall with ice cold flooring that seeped through his body and seemed to be invading his soul. The cold usually didn't bother him, but the cold from Hell wasn't the standard cold; it was something wilder, something more deep in level. "So where do we go?" Ignatius asked Theodosia, his voice hushed as he pushed away the cold feeling from within with his willpower.

"There's only one way to go," Theodosia replied. She started to walk down the hall, leading Ignatius. She could feel her nerves start to build as they approached set of wooden doors. Each panel on the doors told a story of sin and punishment.

Ignatius nodded, and followed closely behind her, not even wanting to think of the repercussions if he lost her. He tried to make small talk, "What are you going to tell your father?" As he waited for her response, he looked at the doors in front of him and stared at them in wonder, noticing that each door seemed to be telling a story.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm not going to tell him anything. You are." She replied simply. Theodosia snapped and the doors slowly opened, revealing a completely black room. It was dark and light at the same time, a very odd combination that never bothered Theodosia. Her father was at his large desk in the center, sitting in a throne-like chair. "Hello, father!" She greeted him cheerfully.

Ignatius's eyes widened, and his mind whirled. He wondered what he was going to tell the king of Hell. Heck, he didn't even know how the dude looked like and if he was going to tremble and just die because of his incompetence to remain his cool in front of Theo's father. As they walked into the black room, Ignatius fought the bile down and straightened his back, putting on a facade of strength. He spotted a man seated in the throne-like chair, a large desk encompassing him. Ignatius didn't know what to do, was he to bow or what? "Uh hi?" Ignatius finally opened his mouth to speak lamely.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Theodosia internally frowned. Ignatius is meeting he King of hell and he addresses him so informally? She can tell this already isn't going to go too well. She casually kicks his shin, hoping he'll get the hint. Theodosia looks at her father, not noticing any big changes on his soul's vessel. Well, that's a good sign, right?

"Ow..." Ignatius muttered but even that seemed to loud in the deafening silence of the hall. He knew Theodosia was trying to hint something, and he sighed, finally catching on. Ignatius wasn't good with formalities, but he tried anyway. He knelt down on one knee and bowed his head lightly in the direction of Theo's father, then looked up with bright eyes, "Your Majesty." He wasn't even sure if those were the right words to say, he was just speaking it from memories of classes that taught of good etiquettes.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Theo's father nodded approvingly. "So I was told that you got a little visit in school. Would you mind explaining that?" He asked in his deep, gruffly and cold voice. Theodosia hesitated, glancing at Ignatius for help. He said he would help cover for her, after all.

Ignatius got up hesitantly when he caught Theodosia's eyes, and he walked right next to her, slipping his arm around her waist reassuringly and pulling her close. "Your majesty, what exactly mean 'little visit'? Theodosia and I have merely been studying for our next class test together for the past day..." Ignatius started slowly, waiting for his response.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

"Father, what are you talking about?" She asks in her innocent 'daddy's-little-demon' voice. The king of hell looks at her. "I was informed that Felix was on earth." He said, and Theo gasped for some dramatic effect. "Oh no! Is everything alright?" She asks, her father nodding in response. "For now."

Ignatius pretended not to understand anything, and asked, "Forgive my rudeness, Your Majesty, but, who exactly is this Felix you're talking about? Don't want him jeopardising my relationship with Theodosia here." Ignatius smiled lightly afterwards, and for some reason didn't feel guilty about lying to Theo's dad; it was as if he wanted it to happen.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Father's eyebrows raised as he looked at the boy standing with his daughter, easily sizing him up. "Your...relationship with my daughter? Care to explain?" He asks.

Theodosia's face turns a shade of dark red. What the hell did Ignatius just say?! Oh crap- father's going to kill both of them if Ig doesn't watch what comes out of his smart mouth.

Igantius gulped, and laughed lightly, knowing exactly what to say. "Yeah, relationship. Of a teacher and tutor. You know your daughter Theodosia has been helping me a lot with me work recently, and I'm really grateful for that. I don't think that Felix guy would come and make any trouble for Theo when we're studying right?" Ignatius raised an eyebrow, hoping that they were on the same page of the matter. He didn't know exactly how he would cover for Theodosia and that seemed like the most viable solution as of then.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Father nodded, but easily saw through the lie. "Nice try, but you can't bullshit the King of Hell. I know what's going on here." He replied. Theodosia bit the inside of her cheek, a nervous habit that prepared her for the worst.

Your Majesty, you suck so bad. It isn't even true to begin with; this whole thing. Ignatius smirked inwardly to himself, making sure to conceal his thoughts. "What's going on here then?" Ignatius challenged him, knowing full well what he was getting into but he didn't care. His usual defiant personality was back, and if the King decided to slaughter him, it would be as easy as snapping two fingers because Theo was already so strong; what's to say of her father?

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well it's obvious you're hiding something you don't want me to know." Father began, glaring at his daughter and the boy. "We're dating!" Theodosia blurted out nervously, grabbing Ignatius' hand. It wasn't the best lie but it's the first thing that came to mind.

Ignatius's eyes widened and he couldn't deny it. He would've been blasted to the ground if he did. "Y..yeah, we are," Ignatius gave a weak smile and pulled Theodosia closer to him, also surprised at what had just happened. It all happened so fast, he wasn't even sure it happened at all. "She's a wonderful uh.. girlfriend," Ignatius said, trying to meet the King's watchful eyes.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

The King's eyes widened. He opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it. Theodosia knew he wanted the best for his daughter. "Hm," he crossed his arms. "I thought Theo would end up with a demon, now a werewolf." Theodosia laughed nervously as she watched her father's eyes examine and judge Ignatius. "What can I say, he's good to me!" She commented. She could tell that Father would tolerate, not accept Ignatus. He'll tolerate him...for now.

Ignatius chose to keep his mouth shut, despite the fact that he desperately wanted to laugh due to the way the King was speaking. It seemed very un-kingly of the King and Ignatius was curious. He filtered out whatever Theodosia and her father was speaking, only focusing on the warm of Theodosia's hand in his, giving it a light squeeze to send her courage that he failed to have. He knew that even the princess of Hell would be afraid of her father, the King, and courage was needed to carry on conversing.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

"Theodosia, I will be speaking to you privately now." The King said emotionlessly. He snapped his fingers, Ignatius was gone, sent to wait outside of the doors. Father began his standard father-daughter rant on boys and dating. The ol' 'if I don't approve you will never see him again and if he tries to do anything to you or lay a finger on you he'll spend an eternity in hell' speech. Theodosia listened politely and didn't protest. She knew that she and Ignatius could act like a perfect couple if they tried hard enough.

In a blink of an eye, literally, Ignatius was outside of the doors. He backed up a bit to observe the pictures even more and was lost in their beauty and the stories that somehow he knew so well just by looking at these pictures. "Hey, there's even one for werewolves," Ignatius muttered in surprise as he spotted one that had a werewolf howling to a moon and other designs on it. "Shucks, never knew..."

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Theodosia tried to protest her father, saying he's overreacting. Of course she only did it to make this act seem more legitimate. Father scolded her and said he's allowed to do what he wants because he is her father. He told his daughter that he's going to have to send spies and guards up to Earth in case you-know-who decides to show up again. Theo nodded politely, clenching her fists. This was bad news, and meant that she and Ig would probably have to act all couple-y 24/7.

Ignatius had finished reading and absorbing all the stories inside the doors, and was then walking back and forth impatiently, waiting for Theodosia. He didn't know why she was taking so long; was it that difficult to negotiate with the King of Hell? Honestly he was not that sure himself. "Hurry up..." Ignatius muttered, not knowing the shit he was planting himself into.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

((I'm so sorry- I didn't see you replied))

Theo spoke to her father for a few more minutes before giving him a hug and saying goodbye. That's one thing she always thought about. Even the King of Hell likes to hug his children. People think he's totally evil because he's in this position, but like any other King he's just doing his job and ruling over his territory. Except, y'know, he also decides people's eternal sentences and punishments. Theodosia thought about this as she walked through the big doors that had opened. Anyone looking in from outside would just see darkness beyond the doors.

(( It's okay, I was in camp too >< ))

Ignatius looked up the moment the doors opened and was filled with immense relief when he saw a female figure walking out of the door. He knew it was Theodosia immediately, he just did, and his legs subconsciously walked towards her. "Theo, how did it go?" Ignatius asked as soon as he could see the outline of her face. He knew that it probably didn't end too bad, since she didn't seem to be in a terribly bad shape.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

"It went better than expected. But..." She drifted. She knew that he would hate pretending to date her as much as she would. Wow this is going to suck. "Now, we're in, uh, quite the situation..." She stalled.

"Okay I get it. I know we were pretty much down each other's throat yesterday but now we have to you know," Ignatius gestured wildly, then lowered his voice to a whisper, "pretend that we're dating." He was afraid someone might overhear or eavesdrop on the conversation, hence he tried sending her a message via the mind, being careful to block off other outside interference. I suggest we get out of here before we talk, someone might hear us. Ignatius gave her a mental worried look.

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

"As much as I hate to admit it, you're right. C'mon. We need to be back for detention anyway. We'll talk then." Theodosia grabbed his arm and in a flash they were standing outside the headmistress's office.

Theodosia was a bit freaked out. She had never been in a relationship- how could she act like she was in one? And while she hated to admit it, she had never kissed a boy. Would she have to kiss him of all people?
