2017 Reading Challenge discussion

Originally published in 1947 and based on a true story. A young girl leaves Boston in 190? for the Canadian northwest, meets a Mountie, falls in love, marries, and moves further north into the true wilderness. While not a literary gem, it is a good story. While it is a romance, it's not one that ignores the story for the romance. There is quite a bit about life in the wilderness, bears, snow, death, and murder. It was the rest of the story that kept me reading.
