Abigail H. Leskey (runeknitter) | 57 comments This is the IMDB page for Thor: Ragnarok: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3501632/

Sif should not be on the cast list at this moment. (http://comicbook.com/marvel/2016/04/0...)

The "rumored" after Cate Blanchett should not be there either. (http://comicbook.com/2016/03/29/cate-...)

I know not about Lou Ferrigno.

So, ladies and gentlemen, what say you?

By the way, if anyone has questions about Norse myth Ragnarok, I'd be extremely happy to answer them.

So cool! I'm bummed that it looks like Lady Sif won't appear. And I'm not sure about the whole idea of Hulk in there. Not my favorite character. =) But it has Loki, so I'll be fine.

Also, question about the Norse Ragnarok: Does every die in that one? I feel like I've read some where everyone does and some where some of the gods (namely, Loki) are just kind of put in limbo. I'm not sure which it is. Or it's maybe neither. =) Any thoughts?

Abigail H. Leskey (runeknitter) | 57 comments Hannah Wrote: Also, question about the Norse Ragnarok: Does every die in that one?

Well, it's complicated. Almost everybody dies; but a few don't; and two who were dead before the battle resurrect after it. But everyone who is in the movies from the myths dies, or at least (Sif and Eir) isn't mentioned as not dying.

message 7: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 26 comments @Hannah according to one article I read, the Norse Ragnarok was the end of all things, destroying the world and all the gods, but after it happened everything just began again and was re-cycled until it was time for the next Ragnarok.

Then there's a later version where the gods are all destroyed and the world begins again with the Genesis account of creation :)

Katherine (katherine23) | 43 comments Why isn't Sif in it? That makes me sad; I love her character and wish they explored it more...

Katherine (katherine23) | 43 comments @Grace that's actually really cool, I didn't know that! I love to think about realities where all the stories really could be true :)

We don't know as a verity that she isn't. :-)

Abigail H. Leskey (runeknitter) | 57 comments This is from an old translation:

"Will any of the gods survive, and will there be any longer a
heaven and an earth?" demanded Gangler.

"There will arise out of the sea," replied Har, "another earth most
lovely and verdant, with pleasant fields where the grain shall grow
unsown. Vidar and Vali shall survive; neither the flood nor Surtur's
fire shall harm them. They shall dwell on the plain of Ida, where
Asgard formerly stood. Thither shall come the sons of Thor, Modi and
Magni, bringing with them their father's mallet Mjolnir. Baldur and
Hodur shall also repair thither from the abode of death (Hel). There
shall they sit and converse together, and call to mind their former
knowledge and the perils they underwent, and the fight of the wolf
Fenrir and the Midgard serpent. There too shall they find in the grass
those golden tablets (orbs) which the Æsir once possessed. As it is
said,--

"'There dwell Vidar and Vali
In the gods' holy seats,
When slaked Surtur's fire is
But Modi and Magni
Will Mjolnir possess,
And strife put an end to.'

"Thou must know, moreover, that during the conflagration caused by
Surtur's fire, a woman named Lif (Life), and a man named Lifthrasir,
lie concealed in Hodmimir's forest. They shall feed on morning dew,
and their descendants shall soon spread over the whole earth.

"But what thou wilt deem more wonderful is, that the sun shall have
brought forth a daughter more lovely than herself, who shall go in the
same track formerly trodden by her mother.

"And now," continued Thridi, "if thou hast any further questions to
ask, I know not who can answer thee, for I never heard tell of any
one who could relate what will happen in the other ages of the world.
Make, therefore, the best use thou canst of what has been imparted to
thee."

OK, So from what I know Lady Sif will be in Thor: Ragnarok and she will play a pivotal part in the film. Last I heard is Jaime Alexander had this to say about her role.

"Marvel, I think on purpose, they don’t tell me certain things. Because they know I’ll be like, ‘So here's what's gonna happen.’ But I do know I will be in Thor 3 and that Sif will have a very pivotal part in that movie. I just can’t tell you what because I’ll get shot." And for all you Loki fans don't worry he still sits on the throne!!

Abigail H. Leskey (runeknitter) | 57 comments Thor will (view spoiler), from what Mr. Russo says in this article: http://comicbook.com/marvel/2016/04/1...

The antepenultimate paragraph is the one about Thor. What do you think of what Mr. Russo said? I'm wondering if somehow Thor finds out about how Thanos/his minions treated his brother.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW! Because my theory is saying that Loki was brainwashed and tortured by Thanos.

It's canon that he had an unpleasant time of it, at least:

If it was Thanos, or the Other, or the Chitauri, who knows. But Thanos is supposed to be a telepath, which I think could be the key to the whole "I remember you tossing me into an abyss" thing.

No trailer has been released and will not be released until after San Diego Comic Con is what I am hearing. Ruffalo AKA The Hulk is in Thor: Ragnarok and it looks to be a good one with the cast they have just added.

@katherine he was added, but not in the way you think. It's another cameo like in GOTG, but in a poster as actor Simon Williams aka Wonder Man.

As for Hulks look it comes from Planet Hulk which is a must read. Many people wanted the next Hulk film to be Planet Hulk so it seems in Thor 3 we will see elements of the story. As for Thor's baldness this is Ragnarok. So it looks like Someone will have two roles in the film.
