Hierarch Faron stood on the bridge of the Spear of Adun, discussing plans for a memorial for those lost in the End War

Alkia couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable as he stepped out the portal and into the ship. He was after all half fairy, creature of magic and nature. So being surrounded by technology in an enclosed space ship was a bit unleashing for the young messenger. Still he had a job to, and as soon as he spotted to Faron, he quickly composed himself and walked over to ask, "sir may I take some of your time?"

he turned and said "of course young, umm...," he cut off and inspected the person in front of him "i must apologize, i am afraid that i am not familiar with your species"

"Thank you, sir and as for my species well my father's the dragon king from the planet Soulion and my mother is a right fairy from the planet Ljosalfheim," Alkia explained trying not show the his concern as while this race seemed to be very advanced to the point that they developed space travel. They seemed to know very little about the Cosmos and the world's beyond their own which meant that he now had some major explaining to do before he could get to the point.

"hmm," said Faron "it seems that there is much we have yet to explore past the void." he pondered for a moment, "you seemed rather distressed when you entered, is there something wrong?"

"You have no idea, and as for my entrance, well we'll both species which sired me aren't very comfortable in such in closed spaces surrounded by so much tech, but it's fine and I'm here for more important thing then my personal comfort," Alkia replied.

"i see," said Faron looking over his shoulder to make sure someone was documenting everything about Alkia "now what are these 'more important things' you spoke of?"

"Okay, so here's the jest, " Alkia said as he pulled out a map of the Cosmos on nearby table and laying it out for all of them to see. "Now is the entire Cosmos, as you can see there are countless world's filled with wonders beyond your wildest dreams. At the center of it all is this world called Soulion, here Gods, dragons, and my order keep tabs of all this to make sure that no conflict ever gets so out of hand so as to endanger the rest of the worlds. Now dark creatures know as shades have been spotted in large swarms on Ljosalfheim, the planet that is closest to yours. Now according to my order's estimates, they should be arriving on this world within the next decade and from there they'll spread across all the world's until with the aid of the gods that created them they'll destroy all f this and not even the gods will be able to stop them."

"ok so how can we help?" he asked looking at the map intently, "we have learned, in our recent war with a creature from beyond the void, that there is a way to kill anything." then he turned to a protoss that was working on the navigational system and said "have this map scanned and uploaded" then turned back to the map to inspect it furthur

"Well sir, out of all the worlds you see on this map only a small handful of them have devolped any way of getting off their planet, and even less know that these other worlds exists. So here's what I purpose, you guys can have the map to copy, and publish however you wish, and once we figure out what's been keeping your people isolated, my order will help to guide your people across the stars and to all the world's you see before you. Plus I have it so I'll be taking your fleet to Soulion personally so we can discuss further details about our partnership in further detail. Once you've reached these worlds, your people will be free to trade and interact with the natives as you wish so long as relations are kept peaceful. The Bly thing that my order asks in return for all this is that you help Soulion fight this encroaching enemy wherever it turn up, " Alkia explained.

Faron pondered for a moment "i would be more than happy to assist you,"he said "but i shall consult with the War Council (which at the moment is just me being political) to make completely sure we have the resources needed to assist" he turned and walked (or is it floated) off toward the War Council

"I understand sir, I thank you for your time and your consideration if you wish, I could be their when you present this to the war council. I could also someone the leader of my order if it would help," Alkia suggested.

"if you would like to join us, that is fine, but this is just the discussion of resources, your leader is not needed at this time" Faron turned back around and continued on towards the War Council chamber

"I think I should, just so that they have a representative to discuss this with," Alkia replied before checking his watch. "Now if the council is communing right, now I'm going to find a place to stay before it get to dark. Make sure to message me when they're ready, and thanks again for considering my order's offer."

"you are welcome young one" Faron said, turning slightly as he walked on. he stopped and turned around once more "how shall i contact you, do you possess any form of protoss communication device?"

"No, Soulion doesn't have that many travelers from here so, but I would be all to happy to give your friend your scientist an opportunity to study me and learn more about these worlds in exchange for some tech lessons," Alkia suggested.

"that sounds like a fair exchange, but it seems as though we have more to learn from you than we can supply you with" he said wondering how the other Protoss would react to being in contact with an even larger assortment of creatures than are already familiar to them (if that made any sense whatsoever)

"Great, and give yourself some credit. Sure you'll be learning a lot from us, but once we get you guys soaring through the stars beyond, the tech you'll share will bring many of the world's into a new golden age of science and discovery," Alkia said. "Now if your scientists are available, I'm perfectly willing to sit down show them the wonders of Cosmos right now if they wish."

one of the Protoss close to the door seemed to vibrate with excitement as the hierarch pointed in his direction "you," said Faron "take a team of scientists and begin the examination," the Protoss bowed then said "yes my hierarch" and exited, then Faron turned to Alkia "i shall go gather the others, the meeting will not begin immediately, there are other matters to address on the surface" he motioned to one of the guards beside the door and exited himself, the guard following close behind

"Okay I'll await your call," Alkia said glad to see that things were moving quickly despite the fact they hadn't even heard of the outer Cosmos before. So smiling he turned to his escort and said, "Okay, your heard the man, lead the way."

"right this way," said the guide waving wards the door "we must move quickly, don't want to keep them waiting" he said as he began walking towards the corridor.

Okay then," Alkia said as he followed the protest through the weaving corridors trying not let his cluster phobia get to him, but he could help bug let out a sigh of relief when the reach the lab. "Have your scientist been informed about my arrival because I don't want shock them too much," the prince asked with a chuckle.

"the protoss that followed the Hierarch out informed them" he said as they reached the door to the laboratory "i doubt he gave them permission for a dissection, but perhaps they did get permission for an internal scan, perhaps they will find something of your anatomy even you don't know" he attempted to replicate what other species call a "smile"

"Well forgive me for wanting to keep all my organs inside me, but I think a internal scan should suffice," Alkia chuckle awkwardly at his escorts bluntness. "Well if they know I'm here I'll just head in, thank you for bring me here and wish me luck." With that he enter the lad and called over the scientist, "Hello, I'm here for my examine."

"good" said the only Protoss in the room "i am afraid my companions are preoccupied with something on the surface, it seems as tough i will have to do the examination myself" he said pausing for a moment as though he were trying to remember something, he shook his head slightly and sighed "let us begin" he said picking up a tablet from a table behind him "first, name of species" he said looking at the boy

"I'm half dragon half light fairy, I can switch between forms, but unfortunately the only form I can show you I'd the light fairy one you see before you as my dragon form is to large to fit into the room," Alkia answered as he took a seat on the table behind him.

the Protoss nodded and logged Alkia's response "do you exhibit any differentiation from the base species?" he asked as he typed on the tablet "if so, can you describe it"

"Well to start out with, most fairies have insect like wings, but mine are feathered because the dragon part of me has feathered wings. My hair as well is actually a mix of hair and feathers and if you feel around, you can probably feel tiny bumps that will become full blow horns once I'm an adult. Other than that, aside from a few patches of scales and feather here and there, your pretty much look at a a twelve year old light fairy," Alkia replied.

the protoss logged the information under a file marked "exclude from report" muttering as he went, then he looked up again and asked "how does you species consume nutrients?"

"We food into our months and it goes down the digestive track same as most races," Alkia replied.

the protoss logged the data and turned around to look at a panel that was in the table "now, i am going to do an internal scan" he said typing on the panel, as a large machine descended from the ceiling "if you would please lay down on the table that you are sitting on."

"Okay, do I need to take off my clothes," Alkia asked as he laid on the table and waited for the scanning to begin.

"no need," the protoss said, still typing, "we do this with wounded soldiers that still have their armor on all the time" then he turned around and pressed a button on the side of the machine which caused a screen to appear, he pressed the screen and a beam shot from the machine and began slowly moving up Alkia's body

"Okay, just make sure to tell me what you find as I've never had my insides looked at before," Alkia said with forced chuckle as he tried not think about all the machines moving around him, as he laid there on the table.

"this first scan is just of your skeletal construction" the protoss said as the young Dragon/Fairy's skeleton constructed on the screen in front of him "the next scan should provide us with an overview of your organs" the Protoss's skin changed to a lighter blue to show his satisfaction

"Okay, just let me know if you find anything interesting," Alkia asked as he closed his eyes in attempt to block out the sound of machines moving all around him.

as the beam stopped moving, the Protoss began to examine the screen, he was silent for a while occasionally muttering a "hmm" but after a wile he finally said "It appears that your skeletal anatomy it similar to that of a Terran" he reached to scratch his nerve cords but remembered that they were no longer there, he sighed again and began preparing for the next scan

"Yes with the exception of wings and that i think my bone's might be honeycombed to help me fly, " Alkia added as he waited for the next scan where he expected to see some major differences as he knew that he had inherited adaptions form both parents to live the life of a flyer, tree climber, and fire breather.

as the next scan began, the Protoss began to examine the resulting image that appeared on the screen. "Hmm" he said "This is interesting" he transferred the image to the larger screen on the wall so that Alkia could see "your cerebral structure is fascinating" he said pointing to the three-dimensional picture of Alkia's head.

"What's so interesting about it," he asked trying to see what the doctor saw but all he saw was a picture of his head and brain.

"it appears that one or both of your species is capable of connecting to the Khala" said the protoss pointing to a small grayish part of the brain "or at the least it is possible" he then turned to the table beside him muttering about "psionic shock" and possible outcomes of something

"Well both of my peoples have the ability to make powerful connections with others. We call it soul bonding and it's something that most cosmos races can do this to a varying degree with the most powerful of these aside the gods are the Trecan race. Who use their bonds to special tree to literally see the past present and possible future," Alkia explained. "So what exactly is the Khala?"

"the Khala is a Psionic connection previously thought to be exclusive to the protoss and the Xel'naga," the protoss explained flipping throught he rest of the pictures on the screen "but it seems that we are not as unique in this sense as we thought" he looked sad and touched the back of his head longingly "but if you wish for a more detailed explanation you should ask the Hierarch

"Oh, sorry," Alkia replied. "However in a way you are unique in the sense that while most races can form strong contections with others. It's mostly amoug only those who are related to us by blood a ceremonial bond, and even then it's mostly limited to telepathy and memory sharing. With the only real exception being the Trecan race and the gods, but they tend to be the exception to everything."

"hmm" said the protoss "These Trecans you speek of sound facinateing. Perhapse someday i will have the plesure of exmining one in person" the protoss moved to a shelf on the wall by the door and looked for a moment then muttered about incompetent co-workers and searched the cabinets beneath the shelf "here it is" he said holding up a glass tube with a clear reddish colored liquid inside "thank you for the chance to examine your physiology. and as thanks i want you to take this with you, drink a little of it when you are injured, it will both sooth the pain and hasten the healing process." he said holding out the tube for Alkia to take
