FAQ

For finding word list, Duos MUST be together (exact phrase). You may not find "old" in one book and "young" in another. The duos must be together! Yup, it's a challenge!

Additionally, will accept ONE sentence if context remains. Examples: (making these up)

"She went UP and I went DOWN."
"I ate APPLES but not the ORANGES."
"The KING went to see the QUEEN."

No more than 1 sentence.

fleurette | 187 comments For Scavenger Hunt Freestyle, does it mean that we have to find the exact phrase "X and Z" or these two worlds have to be in the same sentence or just in the whole book?

Exact Phrase. Will accept sentence IF, and only IF, it stays in context. For example, sentence of "She went up while I went down." Not more than 1 sentence.

Jen (reader44ever) | 2930 comments A question: Are plurals (or singulars) allowed? (Like an apple and an orange OR arms and legs?)

Yes. Apologies for forgetting to add that to the main post.

No worries, and thanks! :-)

message 15: by Jen (new)

Jen (reader44ever) | 2930 comments Another question: Does the meaning have to be the same? And do the two main words need to be in the order given?

I'm asking because I found this sentence in the book I finished tonight: "One looked like a wasp with human legs and arms. . ." (Blood Trade, page 276)

And then later (page 312) I found this sentence: "The vamps collapsed to the floor in a tangle of arms and legs."

Will either of these sentences work for "an arm and a leg"?

Been caught up in Wobble preparation, so forgot about your question.

Meaning and order needs to be the same. Will not accept 1st example, but 2nd example (arms & legs) is fine.

In same order as is, or plural accepted.

I figured the first example would not be okay when a close inspection of the list showed both "old and young" and "young and old."

But I'm glad to know my second example is acceptible! Thank you!!!

Jojobean | 447 comments just to clarify, for the scavenger hunt, the duos have to be in the same book, but not the same sentence?

message 21: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) No, for Duos they have to be together. See post 2 for info.

They have to be together either as is (in the word list) OR it is acceptable to be in the same sentence.

They have to make the Duo, so if they are further than a sentence apart, they are just two random words.
