Don sets about learning the protocols of becoming a father, but his unusual research style gets him into trouble with the law. Fortunately his best friend Gene is on hand to offer advice: he’s left Claudia and moved in with Don and Rosie.

As Don tries to schedule time for pregnancy research, getting Gene and Claudia back together, servicing the industrial refrigeration unit that occupies half his apartment, helping Dave the Baseball Fan save his business and staying on the right side of Lydia the social worker, he almost misses the biggest problem of all: he might lose Rosie when she needs him most.

Just started :) (view spoiler)[ Aw, the baby bud! Don's reaction seemed reasonable (well until he hit his neighbour) I think anyone would be a bit shocked. I agree with Rosie that Gene shouldn't stay with them. It seems as though their lives are going pretty good and Gene would complicate that. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 13 (view spoiler)[ This is getting ridiculous now, I think if Don just explained what happened to Rosie she would try to help him. Getting Sonia involved just confused the situation. I don't think Don is doing a bad job at supporting Rosie, he is trying to help and he seems genuinely concerned he might not be a good dad so at least he cares. (hide spoiler)]

I think this sequel made Don over the top annoying and not at all endearing.

Chapter 32 (view spoiler)[ Wow, Sonia going into labour was kind of scary. When Rosie came in Lydia didn't seem fazed by the change in dynamics, I think Lydia is quite stupid if she hasn't caught on by now. I don't know how to feel about Don and Rosie splitting up, it kind of makes sense because Don can be infuriating but I feel like he really has tried to help in his own way. (hide spoiler)]
