Hey guys! This group is being reopened! There's a new rule, so read carefully. Also, I've redone some things, and the selection will work differently than it did before. Prince Oliver and Prince Mavis will go to the airport to pick up their selected, just like Prince Oliver did in the old rp. They'll come back to the palace, the girls and guys will bathe and get cleaned up and dressed in formalwear for dinner (though they'll do so in their rooms, so you can all post them arriving in their rooms, getting ready, what they wear, and then them leaving their rooms to go to dinner). However, instead of having ridiculously long first meetings in the drawing room the next day, dinner will be the meetings. The dining room will be set up with round tables, three selected each, and the princes will go from table to table. They can spend as much time as they want, they don't have to visit every table (in fact, some selected won't get much interaction the first night). Bigger tables will hold the royal family and foreign visitors. At the end of the dinner, the first dates will be announced, as well as the first eliminations. And from then on, we'll just rp the dates popping up, and little moments around the castle, until the next event. The next event might be a sleepover, or some kind of ball, or something like that. It'll hopefully be a much more flawless system.

Just so you all know, this group will have quite a few mods. Myself, Diana, Denver, Red, Juno, Anika, Alex, and Fiend will be the mods! <3 Respect the mods and we'll all have tons of fun.

Here you can post your list of characters with easy access and editing without it being lost, and you can link people to your characters post too. Enjoy! ^^

Hello everyone! The female selected claims are now filled. More may open up if the reserved spots are taken off (which, if not claimed by the people who they are reserved for by the time the selection starts, will be), or if people drop their claims.

In other news, the selected have been bumped from a total of 30 to a total of 44, 22 male and 22 female. The males still have plenty open, the females are now closed as mentioned above.

As for the problem of provinces, 14 of the 30 provinces will have two selected rather than one. The official reason for this is that, because of there being two crowned princes, there are extra selected and some provinces had a second selected picked out randomly. If you see all the provinces claimed, just claim a province that only has one selected in it.

Okay so this is crazy of me but I bumped up the selected to 50 total, which is 25 of each gender. This is for people who don't have one or only have one. Don't claim if you've already got two or more selected.

And remember, selected are the priority! Make your selected first. If you're having trouble with inspiration for your selected and don't think you want them or don't think you will make them, then either buckle down or drop the claim. The sooner the selected are done, the sooner the selection starts! And I don't want to see this group be one of the selection groups that never get to start. <3

I want to see at least 35 of the selected done. ^_^

Hello everyone. So I see that there has been some confusion about the new look of the group and the mods. For those of you that are new, let me explain.

This group is a remake of an old group that was fairly well loved. It lasted for many months and the members in the group became very, very close friends- a GR family. We used this group as a central base, a home, and the chat was our place no matter what groups we were in, to gather and talk. It holds a very special bond in our heart. Some of our current mods were in that GR family, including:

Jacqueline
Ella
Leena
Savannah
Sucre'd Fiend
and Denver

We were a golden group, basically. It was probably one of the happiest times in my life when this group was together like that. But this group is a new start and a new mix. I modded some new mods with the old:

Nicole
Anika
Diana
Juno
Demi
and Alex

To show a blend of both new and old. These new mods are dear friends of mine, who have inspired a lot of my roleplays when I returned to GR.

I want this group to be great. I want it to reflect the wonderfulness of the old group, while still having a fresh feel to it. But you guys need to understand that it was an old group and many of the mods remember it from the past. I trust my old mods and my new mods, and I don't want any problems with this. I want you all to find a way to coexist and make this group great.

On some things the old mods will probably have precedence because they were here and they know how the group was, and they know me very well. However, the new mods are here to show a fresh perspective and new opinions and make this group a new start rather than just a remake.

In other news, you may have noticed a new look to the group. Savannah is amazing with organizing and finding pictures, such as the new Masthead and group picture. I assure you all she did this with my permission. I trusted her to change a few things and it is nothing I would not have done myself if I had the time or the skill. Out of all my mods, I beg you not to second guess her because this group is as much her baby as it is mine and she has full free reign here. If you have any concerns, come to me, but otherwise I trust her judgment.

So let's all just have a great time and keep this group going! We have 21 finished selected, we're on a roll, and I hope to keep it that way.

FC queen here, coming to your aid with fcs galore. This time around, however, I've redone the previous list I posted in the help thread of male PoC fcs that I would really like to see the group. As much as I adore all of your claims, I would also like to these folks involved. You can find the list here, which includes not only the fcs themselves, but their ethnicities and possible positions/claims they could be used for.

If you ever have any questions, or need help with fcs of any kind, please let me know! It's kinda my thing :p

Okay guys, here's the deal.

I redid the mods. I was listening to advice, and trying to find out what would be best. But ultimately I listened to my heart. The mods are not listed by order of who is more in charge. It's not a chain of command. Sav is my second in command, and if she and I are not on, Nicole is my third in command. Of course, Diana is also noted because she rps le Prince Mavis, who is extremely important to roleplay.

But otherwise, mods are mods. I picked my mods based on who is most helpful as a mod, who I believe goes above and beyond being more than just a dear friend and more than just a member, but being a mod. Cleaning up threads, always having a ready answer, collabing to the extreme, edits and headcanons and roleplaying and just generally being amazing.

And that is not to say who I had before weren't amazing, because they were. But I had too many mods, and I needed to narrow it down.

I want you guys to respect each other. And remember that the main thing about the roleplay isn't mods: It's the roleplay. It's about having fun, so we need to focus on that and get this selection going.

Okay guys, I'm only going to say this one. I picked my mods for specific reasons.

Sav - She has organized the group more times than I can count, she's gotten so many collabs going and fixed so many problems. I trust her completely and she's my second in command, she's a brilliant mod and a brilliant friend.

Nicole - Yes, she may be new, but Nicole has so much spirit. Her inherent goodness and kindness in bad situations is just what is needed to level things out when there are tense situations.

Diana - She has to be a mod, she's the other prince. Not only that but Diana is always available, she is reliable and a brilliant roleplayer, she's understanding and she is really good at solving problems and finding compromises, but also good at seeing both sides with an impartial view.

Anika - Anika knows me better than I know myself sometimes. She is passionate and she is so, so brave, much braver than I am, and she's real, and I trust her.

Leena - Do I really have to explain Leena? She's the mother of the group. She's clever, and a problem solver, she gets along with everyone and is always equal, and she's never too busy to help out.

Fiend - Fiend is one of the most helpful, intelligent people I know. She's always answering questions before others can even get to them, she's brilliant with FCs, she's always fair even to non-advanced roleplayers who would try the patience of most people.

Juno - Juno is similar to Fiend in that she is brilliant with answering questions and helping with FCs. She takes initiative, if she sees something that needs done, she does it. She does projects that blow my mind and she never needs to be asked, she just does things.

Jacqueline - Jac is the heart. She really is. Back in the old group, she was the princess. She always offers to help, and even if she has nothing to help with, she's supportive and understanding and overall always there for me and the rest of the group.

Red - Red has always been a great help. She is thoughtful, if she thinks of something that needs to be done, she asks. She's observant, honestly she notices things I don't half the time.

I love them, and they're my best friends, but that is not why I picked them. This is more than just a popularity contest.

I picked them because I let this group die once before. It is one of my greatest regrets. I got overwhelmed, and instead of going to my friends and accepting their help and talking about it, I backed off. I avoided. And this group died. I lost friends, and so much that was going so well perished. I picked my mods because I know they are most equipped to support me. I picked them because I trust them. I picked them because I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that if I needed to hand over the reigns of the group and focus on rping because I'm getting overwhelmed, they would have my back, no questions asked. I picked them because they are some of the best people I have ever met. And for those of you who know me, I am OCD about this stuff. I don't like relinquishing control, even if I can't handle what I have going on. It takes a lot for me to hand something so precious to me off to someone else, and I picked my mods because they know that, and they can give me the shove I need and go the extra mile without even being asked.

New or old, that doesn't matter. What matters is that I know they are here for me, and for the group. And I will not tolerate anyone who says I made a bad choice, or that I chose based on bad reasons. I thought this through, and I chose who I thought was best.

New Rule

Everyone has to pm nice things to five people in the group to restore our happy times. Let's stop fighting and do cute chain messages and have fun.

Everyone has to be respectful of others opinions bc though they might not be the same as yours, they're still 100% valid and important!! We're a team!!

Okay. Added onto Leena's rule above: THIS IS ALREADY A RULE. Swearing is in rp. If I see anyone swearing AT anyone, especially a mod, I will kick you from the group and block you for a week's time, and that will be a warning.

Let me make something straight, guys. I am the type of person that wants to make everyone happy. I do. I ask everyone's opinion, and when everyone gives me a different opinion, I get stuck, because I forget to listen to my own opinion.

It is true that this group is a remake of an old group. Sav, Ella, Leena, Fiend, Denver, and so many more were a part of that, and that group would never have gotten where it did without them.

But this isn't that group. This is a new group. And things have changed, and time has passed. When I opened this group, I modded who I did out of my pure instinct. And then as others joined, I became more and more concerned of what they thought than what I thought. That's no way for a head mod's mindset to be in.

I don't want to lose my friends... but I think that friends who can't understand my decisions about mods and take this as a professional decision and not a friendship decision, aren't friends I need to be around.

I lost my way. I forgot one thing: This is my group. I know that people put a lot into it with me, but it's my group, and the decisions are up to me in the long run. But I let myself forget that, and follow what others wanted, and I realize that things were better before I started doing that.

So here's the deal. I am modding Diana, Nicole, and Anika. Yes, all new mods, but they are my best friends and I trust their judgment. And I know, that people are going to have problems with this. But you know what? I'm just going to say screw it. Because who the mods are is up to me. And the point of this group is the roleplay, not the mods and the bureaucratic bullshit.

And to be honest, there shouldn't be a problem with my modding based on who is an old mod and who is new, because this is a new group. It really is. And for those of you that are here to support me and the group and are here to roleplay, that's great. You can still have claim threads if you want to help out, you can still answer questions and be an active help in the group.

But my mods are final. And there are a lot of mods that are worthy, but I don't want a ton of mods anymore, because it causes problems. And everything will be run past me in the final count. I am the only one with the final say, and I know that my mods will uphold that.

So... For those of you that are upset and chose to leave, I understand. But for once, I am finally content with my choice, because I know I made it myself, with no one else's influence.

I hope we can all just roleplay and get this group going.

Here's a second thing:

My mods are not allowed to kick people. My mods are not allowed to take off claims or delete characters.

I trust my mods to come to me. To tell me what is going on. And then they can tell me what they will do, but the decision is up to me.

And if anyone has an issue, they can come to me if they don't want to come to my mods.

But to be honest, there's too much drama over the mods, when we should be focusing on the roleplay.

What's a task you ask? Well, it's something handed out by the mods that the whole group may be able to participate in. Everyone has their own separate entry, and a winner is selected. Usually more than one, but this time around there will be none. This is because this is more of building block sort of task. As such, everyone in the group is required to participate and it will be a continues task. Please read carefully in the thread.

Me, again!

As a follow up to the task that is currently going on, I'd like to bring to light some information. From this point forth, all roleplay that might be considered explicit ( sexual or otherwise ), must be placed in spoilers and tagged with a warning. This is to ensure the comfort of others and to keep the group from getting shut down. If the roleplay is supremely sexual in nature, then it must be taken to PM or a secret group. Please understand that this is for the comfort of others.

Also, remember to discuss anything that will affect a family in any sort of collab involving a character with family created. Some collabs have serious blowback on other characters, and while it's super cool to watch, it can be stressful for someone just walking into it. We don't want to completely blindside people, yeah?
