YES YOU DO. Okay, did we want to go with the nephew thing, or illegitimate heir? Because I had an idea that the emperor's family finds out and tries to kill my guy (whom is all you, Leena, Min Yoongi FTW). But the emperor decides that no, he won't allow it, and he and his wife still love each other and things that happened before they were married don't matter. And he would understand why she never said anything because she was scared that her son would be killed, and someone tried to do that. Then the emperor says that he won't even stand in the way of my guy becoming the next emperor, but he decides to stand down formally so the public doesn't have to know about who his real father is and the next in line becomes emperor as is their right, and MIN YOONGI LIVES HAPPILY EVER AFTER WHICH HIS GIRL.
+ Empress got pregnant right before she was married.
+ Father was her sweetheart, but she grew to love her new husband.
+ Was able to pass her son off as the emperor's and he never suspected a thing since they got married so fast.
+ It was an arranged married , obviously.
+ A few years on, no one knows he is not the emperor's son, only the empress knows.
+ I am not sure how yet, but the emperor's family, most likely his interfering mother who "never liked the empress" overhears something being said and puts it all together, maybe about how the baby came "early" but he wasn't.
+ The emperor's mother tries to kill my character by poisoning him or whatever, and an investigation is put into place as the palace is put on lockdown.
+ The official coronation is coming up, but my boy doesn't want to be an emperor. He wants to get married and live in private with his girl friend.
+ Long story short, only he, the emperor, and the empress talk in the end about him not being the true heir, and later the true heir is let in. The other children are either too young or don't need to know, as deemed by the understanding emperor, the emotional empress, and the loving brother heir who doesn't see him any differently and is very overwhelmed because he is about to become the crowned heir or whatever.
+ My guy publicly stands down and then after the celebrations, he finally introduces his girlfriend to his family, who maybe is from the slums? I am not sure, still need to talk to Leena.
+ But he also drops a bombshell saying they are engaged, and he expects them all to be angry, but they are super happy for him. Later, his mum takes him away and tells him about his real father and how he came from the slums as well, hence why she could never marry him, but she was going to be different to her parents and support my guys decision no mater what.
