Vengeance In Death Buddy Read - June 2016
WooHoo! Sounds like we're all ready. New Readers - fasten your seat belts & hang on for this one!
One of my favorites. Without giving anything away Summerset treats Eve very badly for most of this book.

I have VENGEANCE IN DEATH In my Audible.com library. So I will listen to and joy you ladies in the discussion.
I am running behind in this series; I still have to read the May book, but perhaps that will help me to continue straight into reading this one and catching up. Here's hoping.
Just finished rereading this one. Like it allot. Does anyone catch little things they missed the first time around? I found I missed just a few little things and they really made a difference. Fist timers will really enjoy this one!

Best ever. Heard someone else once and was so underwhelmed. Funny what a voice does
Something is always lost when a series changes a narrator. It takes a while either to get used to them reading a series, or just give up on the series altogether. With the death of Ralph Cosham, we lost a wonderful narrator. To me, he was GAMACHE & Company.
When the NATURE OF THE BEAST came out last year, I got the audiobook from the library rather than get it from Audible.com because I wasn't sure of the new narrator chosen to be GAMACHE & Company.
I will not say that Robert Bathhurst was bad, but he wasn't great. He was okay, but he never seemed to find his rhythm. One time he read it to fast, other times too slow. I know for us Gamache lovers, it's going to take us a while to get used to him.

Me too! She is incredible. She does a great job with the men as well as the women and I'm always so impressed how she handles the different accents.

Susan Ericksen is the reason I even "read" these books. She MAKES them for me.
Usually I wait till closer to open discussion time but I couldn't wait !I love how Robb always sets the beginning of the book for the rest of the book. Already I just want to slap Summerset silly. In general it's small things but this has a concerted concentration of it. I'm waiting for the 8th. Gonna be a loooooong wait for me.
Also why is it that Eve always has bad electronics. First her PC then her car.
Me too! I just wanted to smack Summerset at the beginning of this book. One of my favorites and not to be missed for the new In Death fans.
Glad so many of you are getting started! I've been held up starting my reread because of my hubby having surgery, but I'll be ready by the 8th! Hold those thoughts! :)

Thanks, Jeanine! I did get to read a little today while sitting at the hospital - what a start! Jeez. Looking forward to a great, in-depth discussion on Vengeance.
I couldn't make it for the Ceremony discussion but hope to read some interesting insights this month.
I still haven't read Ceremony yet, so will try to read the two back-to-back soon and get in on discussions.
Hope you can catch up, Charlene. Vengeance is one of those most people consider near the top of the In Death series.
Dawn & Michelle - In my top 5 also!! Tomorrow will be here soon!! :)
