I'm fine with whatever. Wanna just skip them for now? And which one of the characters have cancer? I'd like to try it.
Sorry, didn't even know you replied.
Derrick was just stepping out if the therapists office. Other than his parents, the therapist was the only other person he could talk to. He hasn't had it very easy, but he always tried to see some of the best in things. After thinking the therapist and shaking their hand, he slowly gathered his things and made his way out of the office.
Ella sat in the waiting room of the therapists office. Her parents were forcing her to come in to talk about how she felt about her illness. She was wearing her hair down to conceal her face, incase anyone recognized her, and held her backpack tightly on her back. When the boy came out, she stood up to go in after him. She passed by and her phone fell out of her pocket but she didn’t notice. She walked into the office and closed the door behind her. She took her usual seat and set her backpack down.
Derrick glance at her only for a moment as she walked past. He heard something clatter against the ground, making him look back at the floor. He noticed her phone on the ground. He couldn't just leave it there. Maybe she would need it later. He picked it up and held it as he sat down in a chair. He was now waiting on a ride home. It would be a while so he just waited there, hoping she would come out soon so he could give it back to her
Ella stared at the clock, just wanting the time to go by. After about half an hour, she decided to cut their session short. She stood and quickly made a bunch of excuses before she left.
He was getting up to leave as well when he seen the door open once more. He stood in the hallway until he saw her. "Hey, um you dropped that on your way in" he told her softly as he handed her the phone. Without saying anything else, he turned and started to walk away
Ella took it and turned it on, blinking. She didn’t even have the chance to thank him before he was gone. She hadn’t realized she’d dropped it. The screen was little bit cracked from the fall but that was the least of her concerns.
He soon made his way out of the school building. Throwing the backpack over his shoulder he began looking around the parking lot until he seen his mother's car. He then slowly began walking towards it
Ella walked out with a sigh, passing by a few of her old friends. Some of them had tried to stay in touch but she had pushed them all away, barely answering the phone or their texts and when she did, she was cold. She pushed them out of her mind as she walked out of the school and headed home, walking.
The next day had been about the same as most. He was going from class to class and soon it was time for lunch. After going through the line and grabbing a tray, he found a seat that was secluded from everyone else. This was how he usually liked it
Ella brought food from home, knowing she had to stick to a specific diet. She sat where she always did, in the corner of the courtyard, next to the fences and on the floor. She ate quietly, staring around the courtyard.
Derrick minded himself for the most part, looking around at all the people till his eyes moved back to the girl he seen yesterday. He soon looked away, not wanting to seem creepy. He wondered if he should go talk to her
Ella had been meaning to thank him if she ran into him ever again, but she didn’t. When she was done with her food, put some headphones in and read a book, ignoring texts from her parents.
Derrick soon threw his garbage away, soon returning to his seat. He pulled out some medicine and took it cause his head had started to hurt again.
Ella sighed when the football players got too loud. She stood and went to the library, putting her book and her headphones away.
Derrick was getting up as well, grabbing some papers he was working on. Without looking, he turned and started to walk when a jock bumped into him, making him drop all his things. "Watch where you're going loser" the jock said to him as Derrick scrambled to gather his papers
Ella spotted the boy from the previous day. She walked over just in time to see what happened. “Watch it, Keil,” she snapped and leaned down, helping Derrick gather his papers.
"Thanks I appre-" he looked up and seem it was the girl from yesterday. "Oh, hey. I guess we're even now" he gave a small chuckle as he picked up the last paper.
Ella didn’t respond, she didn’t even smile. She gathered his papers and handed them to him politely, then she went on her way again, feeling they really were even now.
He suddenly became interested in this mysterious girl. Be fore he knew it, he was following her. "Guess you're not much of a talker" he told her as he walked with her for a few minutes. "I'm Derrick" he told her with a smile on his face
Ella ignored him silently but part of her was a little satisfied that she finally knee his name. She didn’t respond, not even offering her own name as she walked.
This was clearly getting awkward fast. He soon stopped following her. "Well thanks I guess" he told her as she watched her walk away. He soon turned and made his way inside
Ella hesitated and stopped when he went to leave. “Ella,” she said quietly before she continued off towards the librar.
He barely even heard her when she spoke up and it made him stop and turn around. "What was that?" he asked as he stared back at her
((Hey, I'm going to be spacy the next few days. Need a little time to fix some things. I'll get to the rp when I can))
"Well, it was a pleasure to meet you Ella" he gave her a small smile before starting to walk again
Ella stayed on his mind for the rest of the day for some reason. The school day was nearing it's end now as the bell rang.
Ella went to her locker and grabbed the stuff she needed before she waited for the mass of students to lessen. Then she walked home liked she usually did.
He seen rain clouds in the distance as he walked to his mother's car. As they started to make their way down the road, he seen her and told her mother to stop beside. "It looks like it's about to rain. Would you like a ride?" he asked her
Ella looked up at him and then at the sky. He was right. Instinct told her to coldly refuse but his mother was there and she hated to appear rude. "Are you sure?" She asked softly.
"We don't mind at all Ella, please let us give you a ride" he insisted as he got out and even opened the door for her
He just gave a small smile and closed the door after she got in. Soon he was back in the cat and his mom took off down the road again. "So where's your house Ella?" he asked her
She gave them the directions, her voice soft and quiet. She didn’t like to talk to much, not unless she needed to.
Soon they were pulling into the driveway after following her directions. It was raining kinda hard by now. "There you go Ella" he told her softly
She got down, “thank you,” she said slowly. She started to go inside but then felt rude, again. “Would you like to come inside?” She asked him.
"Yeah, sure. I'm sure she wouldn't care to run back out here in a little bit" he told her as he got out with her and followed her to her house
Ella walked up to her house. “My parents are at work,” she said quietly, unlocking the door and walking inside.
He soon walked behind her into her house. He began looking around. The house looked nice enough
She looked around. It had been so long since she’d invited anyone into her house. She forgot what she was supposed to do. She went to the living room and sat down.
"Not too bad of a place you have here" he told her softly as he sat in a chair beside her
