What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Another one I am trying to find.

It's about a woman who is a violinist, and joins an orchestra where they travel to Wales during the winter, and during the stay there she stays in a cabin with the composer/conductor.

The description of the house i remember, as it's one I loved; It had all the bedrooms on the bottom floor, with the kitch, dining room, and a sunken living room on the top floor, overlooking a frozen lake (which the woman falls into at one point, to be rescued by the conducto)

The man himself is Welsh. He begins a 'relationship' with the woman, even though i'm sure he is already in one (or engaged), to help improve her performance, so she can put feeling into the notes.

That's all i remember about it, but I absolutely LOVE this novel, so I would really love to find out the name of it!

How long ago did you read it?

probably close to 11 years ago, it wasn't new when i got it, so it's most likely older than that.

I assume they were either in the US or the UK, at the time I read it, it seemed so, it may have been a few years behind, but nothing too old.

I'm actually leaning closer to it starting in NY, but I may be confusing it with another book on that.

Can you edit your first message and clarify the location might not be Wales but possibly NY? It's helpful to include a note like "Edited on June 7/16:".

What's the time period (e.g., what type of technology was around)?

This was in the unsolved folder when I followed it... Maybe Allison found the book and changed the folder but didn't give the name here?

Ah... You're probably correct. Didn't realize "battle with desire" was a book title. I thought it was part of the book description. Sorry, my bad.

Allison, that's a good question. We ask the OP (original poster) to make a comment confirming their book is found. Once in awhile a change at the top is unintentional. This way we'll know for sure when we hear from the OP. Thanks for mentioning that.

In fact it's better not to change the title, sometimes we lose the information it contained and then have to go back and re-add it.
