I, too, suggest publishing all three stories in one e-book. It's great that they have a common element. As an e-book collection, they are a lot easier to share, whether you price the e-book at 99 cents or for free.
Thanks! From other advice I got on my blog and Facebook, I think I'll go ahead on the blogging, package all three together for print, and offer them separately as Ebooks. Oh, yeah, Wattpad, too! thanks again!--

I wrote three stories set in a skid row district in 1979. AOne is about a marginal guy whose life looks up when his blind father comes to town. The second is about two guys working in a porno theater who pick a bad day to get stoned. The third is about a young woman under the influence of a street preacher, and her life is turned upside down when she sees someone die. All three stories are linked through time and place, and most importantly, by the characters playing a role in each other’s stories.
Here’s the problem. They are too long to be short stories, and way too short to be novels or even novellas. They are, simply, unpublishable by any normal publishing model.
So, what I’m thinking is, break them into 52 segments, and blog them piece by piece one story after another. Readers can subscribe and have each short segment emailed to them weekly. People coming across this project part way through can catch up on my website. Meanwhile, I’ll make the stories available in their entirety on my website as eBooks or in hard copy for purchase for as cheap as possible, for those who are enjoying the stories but don’t want to wait for the next installment.
So, here’s my question: Sound like a good idea? Have you or someone you know tried some version of this? Would you subscribe to such a thing?
Thanks for the help!
