Welcome Nadia! "chill for me" - does that mean "I guess it's OK for me" to male my own thread - gotta keep up with slang ;-)

Dang, that's hard...you gotta know that xD
Depending on the genre...I love Katie McGarry's Pushing the Limit Series, kind of a fan of Tamora Pierce, I'm chill with Lauren Myracle...and Jennifer L. Armentrout. And the unbecoming of Mara Dyer...
Particularly LGBT though? Annie on my mind ( a classic), David Peck's Sprout, Proxy by Alex London...
My faves kind of fluctuate depending on my mood though...and by favorites, do you mean books that i absolutely loved, or books that i loved, then hated, and left me feeling so confused about my emotions...cuz then you have the Half-Bad trilogy, Delirium, Wither...

It's a hard question for me to answer too Nadia! - my favorites fluctuate all the time as I read more. :)
I don't know many of the ones you mention, but I do know Tamora Pierce. I find her a highly enjoyable writer! I've read several of the Alanna and Beka Cooper books as well as listened to the audiobook of Melting Stones.

Never read Melting Dtones, and you should def read Sprout, it's so emotional and heartbreaking but it made me live life...after breaking my heart of course, like all YA books do...

I really liked Sprout. Thanks for the reminder. It's one I had planned on re-reading. I quite related to Sprout even though he was a kid and I an old fart.
I was reminded of the movie "The Boy With the Green Hair" a wonderful feel good movie starring a very young Dean Stockwell:

In the late '70s we used to think it would be a lot easier to be GLBT if we all had green noses or some such. I'm reminded of those days too.

Never heard of that movie or Dean Stockwell, but that little kid looks so cute with the green hair!
Dean Stockwell was a very active actor on TV and movies, very versatile. He's been a lead in a lot of Sci-Fi series: Quantum Leap, Battlestar Galactica (new one), Star Trek DS9...
For this list, his most interesting movie is Compulsion a bioptic about the famous Leopold-Loeb case. A homoerotic movie about 2 wealthy, privileged law students who think they can get away with the perfect murder. It's quite a good movie He was also in Blue Velvet, a cult classic.

Out of all of that, have only heard of Quantum Leap, and I don't even really know what it's about, but compulsion sounds interesting, is their idea of the perfect murder the icicle scenario? Or would telling me be a spoiler...

Oops typo It's correct. Good ides to preview one's links :-) Thanks!

Nadia, if you like Tamora Pierce, you should check out Graceling by Kristin Cashore. It's probably the only young adult fantasy I've ever read with a female lead who's story doesn't center around her falling in love with a boy--and it's a brilliant story.
