How do you organise your writing - Idea to Promo and beyond discussion

It will never be finished, you will always be able to say I want to change this, I want to tweek that. So how do you know when to stop and say its good enough?

When someone says "STOP!" It will never be good enough. Never. It will be great, fantastic, the best you've ever done, but there will always be something to change.

I trust my readers who will say when it's enough. If I use my own judgement I may stop before it's ready because I'm sick of looking at it, or I'll keep picking away until it's something entirely different than what I wanted.

Yep, when it's been through 1st draft, proof read and edit, readers, 2nd draft, edit and proof read, enough is enough. You've done the best you can.

Of course, if someone comes to yuo and says "Change that sentence to remove the comma, and we'll pay you 25K," well, alright, I'll make a final alteration to it.

At least, I think I would. No one's offered 25K yet. I'll let you know.
