Simon walked into the library swiftly and quietly. He was wearing his school uniform and wasn't easily spotted through the other students. He looked around for books for some light reading, eve though he didn't look it, he really loved books and the knowledge that they had. He came to a row of books that had a musty leathery smell to them, most people would ignore this section, but Simon thought the older the books were, the more knowledge they had. He looked through the books and picked a red book with a gold title; Quiditch through the Ages. Since he was a muggle-born, he didn't know a lot about the wizarding world. He wanted to catch up quickly. He went to a long table and sat down with the red book, that was quite big and heavy. Simon opened it to page one and started to read, losing himself in the book.

H :) | 53 comments Lena padded silently into the library, sighing. She didn't mind reading, as long as the book had a lot of action and adventure. Nothing bored her more than realistic fiction, or, even worse, non-fiction. She took in the rows of shelves, lined with dusty, ancient-looking books some with leather covers and gold lettering. If there was any work of fiction in the library, it was likely some complicated, dusty Classic that would test Lena's short attention span bast its limit. She sighed again. This whole castle was like stepping into the middle ages, jumping back a couple of centuries. Still, Lena couldn't pretend she didn't love it here. It was everything her family had said it would be--and more! She broke into a slight smile, leaning against the windowsill and looking out at the castle grounds. She saw the Quidditch Pitch, which kindled her desire to fly again as she thought fondly of her broom, back at home. She had been flying since before she could walk, first carried by her brother, and then on her own.

The hem of Lena's robe caught on a nail in the soft wood of the windowsill, and she have a short huff of irritation as she yanked it free. That was the one thing she didn't like about school. The uniform was practically a dress, which was a terrible crime, in Lena's opinion. Oh well, she stifled a grin, catching sight of some of the other kids in the library. At least the boys had to wear them too.

Bea hurried into the Library. She walked at a rapid pace towards a section of books, she then plucked one off the shelf entitled, Hogwarts: A History. She had read it a few times, but she always enjoyed reading it again. Bea eyed a spot close to Simon, but far enough that she could still feel alone. Before she knew it, she was sitting in a wood seat and the book was propped open in front of her.

Bella strutted into the library, at pretty much he same pace as Alex. Once inside, she scanned to room for the black haired girl. Honestly, she didn't know what Simon looked like, so she was just going off of Bea. "I see the know-it-all." She whispered to Alex. "Do you see the guy?"

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Simon lookedbup at Bea and smiled. "Hello!" he said quietly so not to disturb the other students. He returned to his book after he noticed two Slytherins, maybe they were friendly like Bucky?

Alex nodded. "There he is, man he looks like such an idiot" he chuckked.

Bea gave a small wave towards Simon the wrinkled her eyebrows. He appeared to be staring at something... She turned around to see Bella and another Slytherin standing there. Maybe they won't notice us... bea returned to her book, but she new that it was wistful thinking to believe that they had not noticed them. She had seen them looking at bother her and Simon, so...

Bella smirked and nodded in agreement. Idiot Ravenclaw mubdbloods that shouldn't even be here. She thought.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Simon smiled at the Slytherins. Bucky had been nice, so maybe so were those two? He returbed back to his book.
Alex cringed. "He smiled at me. Gross" he snickered and walked over smugly. He was going to put those two Mudbloods through pain, and lots of it!

"Yeah... Hey wait up!" Bella had been lost in a world of er own at Alex's remark. Ravenclaws were stupid, even if they were supposed to be smart. Did that make them, like, kindergarten level? She finally noticed Alex walking off and dashed to walk after him.

Bea kept her head buried in her book, not wanting to attract attention to herself.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Alex plucked the book from Bea and threw it aside. He smirked. "Trying to fit in Mudy?" he smirked. Simon frowner and stood up. "Leave her alone!" he said. Alex pushed him back into his seat. "Shut it Mudblood! You dont belong here!"

Bea remained quite calm as the Slytherin boy threw her book to the side. "If fitting in means acting like you two, I'm perfectly fine with standing out." She looked out of the corner of her eye and said, "I wouldn't do that to him if I were you." She warned. "Why?" Bella asked. "He doesn't look like he can hurt a fly. If I didn't know any better, I would classify him as one of those ignorant and naive muggles." A smirk held firm on her face.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Alex smirked and started to poke Simon in the chest. "What are you going to do about it Mudy?" he smirked and pulled out his wand. Simon frowned. "This doesn't have to end in violence," he mumbled. "Bella was right! You are naive! And the only answer is violence!"
Simon sighed and stood up to his full height which was 5'6 two inches taller than most boys, which probably meant that Simon would at least be a six footer when he grew up. "Leave me alone, or I'll tackle you, Rugby style" he warned. Alex only smirked.

Bea felt so small. All the guys were so tall, and she was short little Bea. At least Bella was close to her size, kinda. "Shut it Slythie." She finally said, standing to her full tiny height. "Or I'll give this a try." She pulled out her wand and pointed it at Alex. Secretly, she had already tried a few spells in the Charms book, and it worked out well for her.

Bella glanced over at Bea. She was dumb enough to pull out her wand. "Use your brain, girl." She muttered. "You're the shortest one here, and that kinda puts you at a foul position. I would just stop." She turned back to Alex and Simon, waiting to see what would unfold.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Alex smirked. "Rugby? What is that? A joke?" He laughed and turned to Bea. He raised his wand to cast a curse that would have backfired, but Simin tackled him pinning him to the ground. Simon didnt look it, but he was quite strong. "No. Rugby, is a game that is very very painful" he growled and stood up. "Your not worth it. Stop picking on girls, it's embarissing" he snapped and picked up Bea's book in a swift moment. "You should be one to talk! You dont deserve to be here! Your not even in the same league as me!" Alex laughed. "Mine and Beas chances are just as good as yours!" Simone frowned.

Bea kept her wand pointed at Alex, never wavering. She didn't know anything that could be severe, thank goodness. But she did know some small ones that she could turn into big ones. She was smart, Ravenclaw smart.

Bella rolled her eyes and pulled out her own wand. She new one or two, her book had taught her. But she didn't know too many. However, she did know one that would be fun to use. So badly she wanted to use it, but she would wait for Bea to make the first move, or Simon, so she could say she was acting out if pure self defense. Smart smart smart.

Alex clenched his fists. "Your a coward! You fight with your hands!" he scoffed. Simon frowned slightly. "No, I dont fight with magic. Its a waist of time. You are the coward here you and..Miss whatever her name is." he said bluntly. Alex snapped and punched him. "Ouch.." Simon mumbled holding his bleeding nose. "Your filth! Your.." and so Alex continued sayin hurtful things to both Simon amd Bea about Mudbloods. To tell the truth, Simon wanted to cry the insults were that bad, but instead he took a deep breath. "Are you done?" he asked replacingbthe anger and sadness with annoyance.

((Night night! Sleep well!))

Bea had been pushed over her limits. In a state of desperation, she aimed her wand at a shelf of books right above Alex's head. She whispered the most basic spell that pretty much, she would think, everyone would know. "Wingardium Leviosa." She made sure to get the incantation right, as well as the wand movements. She brought a book up and into the air, then allowed it to come sailing down, aimed for Alex's head. She honestly had no idea if it would work or not.

As soon as Bea began muttering her spell, Bella decided to try her charm. Hopefully it worked. Without a second more of hesitation, she said, "Incendio." Immediately, a set of books near Bea erupted into flames.

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

"Woah! Bra, don't! It's what they want!" He yelled in a whisper. Alex smirked and looked at the flames. "Thanks Bella it was getting quite chilly here" he chuckled darkly. Simon smacked him over the head. "You can burn the bloody Library down. Um..." He said while trying to find something to put out the flame.

Bea allowed a small shriek to escape her mouth. The dang flames had missed her by inches. Completely ignoring Simon, she launched herself onto Bella. Now it was Bella's turn to shriek a little. But she recovered quickly and soon, the two girl were in a little cat fight. Neither was doing much damage to the other, yet. But both of them knew Bella was stronger and taller. So it was only a matter of time before Bea took damage.

Simon ran next to the girls and with the help of Alex, who's reason was totally different from Simon's, pulled the two girls apart. "Gross! You touched her Mud blood!" Alex barked. Simon had his hand on Bra' s shoulder. "Are you okay?" He asked then glared at the Slytherins coldly.

"I'm fine." Bea muttered. "Are you okay?" She had heard the insults, of course she was bothered by them, but it looked like Simon was suffering worse from them. "You're so gross!" Bella hollered. "You filthy little mudbloods. I'm going to make you pay for what you did!" Her eyes gleamed mischievously.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm fine! Really," Simon assured her. Then he turned to Bella coldly, with his height and the look in his eyes he came off as..one word would describe it, intimidating. "Oh stick it where the sun doesn't shine, Bella!" He barked and stood in front of Bea in a brotherly manner. Alex sniggered and pretended to blow his nose in his handkerchief to hide it.

message 23: by Martha Jones, Head Mod (new)

Bella took a whole step back. She was slightly afraid, but she hoped she didn't show it too much. "I'm dead serious." She swore. Bella narrowed her eyes at both Simon and Bea. She was afraid to look Simon directly in the eyes, but she made sure that they lingered on Bea for quite some time. "I've used up too much of good time that could have been used elsewhere. I'm off, filthy freaks." She then turned, whipped her hair over her shoulder, and stalked out of the library.

Bea was grateful for Simon's kind action. Most likely because if he didn't step between her, Alex, and Bella, she would have gone at them, again. And made things a lot worse than they were. She thought she should avoid that.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Alex made a tutting noise and followed Bella. "If the Dark Lord does come back I'll make sure he goes after you and takes away your life" He laughed and left.

"Take what? Our noses?" Simon muttered when Alex said; If the Dark Lord does come back I'll make sure he goes after you and takes away. Simon turned to Bea and shook his head. "I'm naive. I thought they were friendly like Bucky...Ah well," he said. He was worried. "The flames!" He shrieked and ran past Bea gently and patted out the flames burning his hand in the process. "Ouch!"

"No no! Don't do that! You'll hurt yourself!" Even though it was clear that he already had. "I know there's a water spell, but we don't learn that 'til later." She muttered to herself. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. "We need a teacher!" But the only one around appeared to be the librarian. The gleam in her eyes instantly faded. Bea began to hammer her head, and hard, trying to think of an idea.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

"Hey! I'm fine! I've burnt my hand so many times it's unbelievable!" He chuckled. "I'll go to the Hospital Wing so I can get it cleared up" He grinned happily. "And that book you were reading, it's really interesting! I read it like ten times!" He smiled and walked for the door.

"Yeah, it's great." Bea said quietly. She loved the book. And so far, Simon was the only other person that had read it just as much as her. She sighed, picked up the book she was reading, checked it out, then followed Simon's lead out the door.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

"So, where you headed?" He asked cheerfully and put all the anger and sadness deep, deep down inside him. His anger, frustration, annoyance and sadness would show when he would need it most. He began to feel nervous for some reason, what would Bella do to Bea? Even though he didn't know Bea long, all the Ravenclaws felt like brothers and sisters, and he was very, very protective.

message 29: by Martha Jones, Head Mod (new)

Martha Jones | 94 comments Mod
She shrugged and shook her head. "I don't know." She muttered. "I have no plans. I guess I'm going to see to it that you actually go to the hospital wing." Bea kept her head strait and tried to make sure her eyes showed no emotion. She didn't want to appear like she had been bothered about what had happened in the library. Yes, she was bothered but no, she did not have to let the whole school know.

"Um..Okay! Thanks, I heard the Nurse is...different, to be honest, I'm kind of scared" Simon said. He looked at her sadly then nudged her playfully. "Come on! Turn that frown upside down!" He rhymed in a high pitch voice that was absolutely ridiculous coming from a boy like Simon.

message 31: by Martha Jones, Head Mod (new)

Martha Jones | 94 comments Mod
She offered up a small smile, then allowed it to fall. "I bet the nurse sin't that bad." She said rather quietly. "I bet he's quite nice. Now come on, pick up the pace." Bea started to walk somewhat faster. She just wanted to make sure he got there and didn't walk off somewhere else.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

"Coming! Hey! Want to race?!" He asked smiling widely. "Okay great! One...Tow, three!" He said and ran down the corridor avoiding a lot of students and professors as he ran.
