I'll come back every 5 too, Trisha. I'm not sure what time I'll start tomorrow since I want to finish at least one other book first, but I'll start it sometime tomorrow.

Ana(view spoiler)[ I can't even imagine how tough. losing her mom and being so lost, then her dad suddenly up and marrying then dying.
I know it's a story we all know but it's still interesting to see it from her perspective (hide spoiler)]

horses(view spoiler)[ I don't recognize how they fit into the story but visiting her at night that first night was pretty spooky (hide spoiler)]

Maire(view spoiler)[ I wonder what she was talking about. Is Ana a changling? why did Maire say her mom would want her sent to her? and what really inflicted her father? (hide spoiler)]

huntress(view spoiler)[ who was that? just a girl who tells stories? sounds like she knew more about the wood than she was letting on (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 5

Thoughts (view spoiler)[I love the idea of retelling Cinderella. Though this book is more sinister and twisted. (hide spoiler)]

Ash (view spoiler)[I feel sorry for her. Her father remarried not long after her mother had died. Then her father died, leaving her with the wicked stepmother and stepsisters. The general plot is exactly like Cinderella, but I do notice a few differences between Cinderella and Ash. (hide spoiler)]

Maire Solanya (view spoiler)[She seems to care for Ash as a mother would, though she's not able to since they moved away due to the stepmother. I hope she turns out to be the fairy godmother in this retelling. (hide spoiler)]

Huntress (view spoiler)[She seems nice. She appears to have more of a sisterly affection towards Ash than anything. (hide spoiler)]

I'm pretty confused

unless this guys he's meeting up with is the prince, then she isn't going to marry him (hide spoiler)]

meh. I feel like these next 5 were kind of boring.....did I miss the good stuff?

I just noticed that you rated this 1 star. I haven't read much of it yet, but I guess it must not be too good then.

I just had a tough time with the writing style.....

Yeah, I think I'll still try it since I liked another one of her books pretty well, and the concept sounds interesting.
