Sarah (littlerah) | 37 comments I have tended not to enjoy autobiographies very much because they can be quite, cliche? I don't think that's the right description. But in my literature course last year we had to read "Brother, I'm Dying" by Edwidge Danticat.

It's more a family memoir, with Danticat talking about the lives of her father and uncle and honestly, it's beautiful and heartbreaking and just an ideal understanding that you don't have to have celebrity status to have your life story told. I would recommend it, as someone who normally can't deal with autobiographies. I don't know if it officially comes under that label though, but certainly worth a read.

Josie Barstad | 2 comments I really enjoyed Home by Julie Andrews. It was so interesting to learn about her life before Mary Poppins and Sound of Music.

Teresa | 8 comments I really liked Between Two Worlds by Zainab Salbi. It's more of a memoir and definitely worth the read. It can be very intense, but very eye-opening.

Nicole It's technically a memoir, but I really enjoyed reading A Work in Progress by Connor Franta.

Charlie Aitken | 1 comments I don't know if this counts as an autobiography but All I Know Now by Carrie Hope Fletcher is a good read. I'm also currently reading a similar book called One Million Lovely Letters by Jodi Ann Bickley but that's a bit of a tear jerker

Amy Fanning (rkjunkie07) Born With Teeth by Kate Mulgrew. She's an actor who was the captain on Star Trek: Voyager and she is currently in Orange Is The New Black. I listened to the audio book and it was awesome! It's narrated by Kate herself and her personality really comes through.
