The other day my friend Joel was simply driving down the road, on his way to lunch, when he heard God tell him to go and pray for a limping man on the side of the road. Well he was kinda scared because he was on the bad side of town where you might get shot. But he pulled over and got out. Immediately after exiting the car a peace came over him(he later told me it was because he was doing God's will). Joel walked up to the man, started talking to him and then prayed for his disfigured foot. Instantly his foot was healed, but the man's toes were still no able to move. Joel asked him if he could pray again, the man said sure but that the doctors told him he would never be able to move his toes again anyway. Joel prayed and the man's toes were able to move again. He shouted praise to God then a 'Jesus loves you!' to a big black guy. Entering his car he left knowing he had done God's will. God still moves =)

Christa (is on top of the world!) (obsesedwbooks) Wow! That's an amazing story. And just when it seemed that no matte how hard I prayed people weren't gonna get better anyway, here this story pops up and raises my spirits!

Oh you have no idea Christa. It's the most exciting time for Christians. Since people actually get to know God He heals through them. In Africa thats how one woman minister does it. She goes to an African village without saying a word about Jesus heals one of them(a sick person everyone knows) and then preaches the gospel. It's awesome having a God who answers and actually moves

Christa (is on top of the world!) (obsesedwbooks) I wish he'd do that with my family. They've been arguing like crazy and every night I pray for it to end, but it doesn't! What do I do now?

Christa have you ever tried talking to God? Ask Him to reveal Himself to you in a very real way. Read the Bible but ask God to give you understanding of it through the Holy Spirit. Oh! Very important question have you received the Holy Spirit before?

Christa (is on top of the world!) (obsesedwbooks) I don't know, I think I have. It felt like someting with a sorta chill was surrounding me, but it was a totaly hot and muggy day that day. Does that count?

Well receiving the Holy Spirit normally causes the person to speak in tongues afterwards. Do you know what tongues are? It's what atheist people call a creepy language that Christians get. It's the language of the Angels, a direct line to God. When we speak it we don't know what we are saying, but God does, the Spirit knows what we are supposed to pray so He does it for us. It's pretty cool(or weird however you want to look at it). But this does not mean God cannot send his Spirit to comfort you or help you understand His Word. It is just a crucial thing to get filled with the Holy Spirit. If you are willing pray to God for the Holy Spirit. Most people have to get the church or a preacher to pray for them to receive Him. But God can do anything and I bet if your willing He'll give it to you in an instant

Christa (is on top of the world!) (obsesedwbooks) Oh, well then, I'll have to try tonight. When I pray I'll ask to recieve to Holy Spirit. I don't know if it will help though, since I'm not at my usual home.

It doesn't matter where you are =) God's everywhere

Christa (is on top of the world!) (obsesedwbooks) Yeah, it's true he is! But how far can the Holy spirit really travel? Can it travel for miles across th county or even the state? I've only known it to work right in the place you are praying. Do you think it would work if I can get others to pray with me?
