So I apologize for my lack of precise language with this one. It was supposed to be the longest continuously running play. That would be Christie's "The Mousetrap" which has been running continuously since 1952.
You could say Shakespeare has some of the longest running stage plays, as his have been going since the late 1500s, but none of them have been continuous.
