Theo bit his lip as he nervously awaited Skye's arrival. What if she was having second thoughts? What if she decided not to come? These questions plagued his mind as he waited. He'd never been so nervous over a girl before. To him, Skye wasn't just a girl. She was different.

*She was different.

Skye hesitantly stepped onto the beach, scanning the area for Theo. She had been surprised, pleased, and embarrassed when he had asked her out, and now she was anxious about the whole thing. Her mother was elated when Skye had told her she was going on a date, but would it go well?

Theo was beginning to lose his confidence when he spotted Skye. "Hey!" He called to her, smiling and waving. He started walking towards her, a bouquet of lilies and other garnishes he picked from the garden in hand. "I-I got you this..." He said nervously. He really wanted this date to go well.

((Ok I'm just gonna totally make this super cliche and say..))

"Oh!" Skye blushed. "Lilies are my favorite," she said softly as she accepted the bouquet. She giggled a little, feeling better as she saw Theo was nervous as well.

((That's the third post to end in "well". O.O))

Theo smiled. "Come with me. I have a surprise for you." He said, offering her his arm. He had a picnic set up on a large quilt that his mom had made. Theo hadn't even looked at the quilt until today, but he felt this was worth it.

((AWE, CLICHE-NESS AT ITS BEST IN THE FORM OF A ROMANTIC PICNIC ON THE BEACH))

Skye took his arm and smiled at him, feeling more relaxed. As a simple conversation starter, she asked, "What's your favorite flower?"

Theo thought about it for a minute as he led her over to the picnic. "Probably carnations." He said, giving her a small smile. "What do you like to do in your spare time?" He asked, sitting on the blanket. He patted the space next to him, motioning for her to sit.

((AHHH SO CLICHE!!!))

Skye sat and glanced at him, shrugging a little. "I like to watch people sometimes. I like picking flowers and reading, too. What about you?" She sent him a soft smile.

Theo was silent for a moment. He was hesitant about telling Skye so much about him; he'd never opened up to anyone this much before. However, he really liked her, so he'd do it if it meant getting closer to her. "I like archery. And drawing..." He trailed off. "I draw to help take my mind off of my mom." He said, his voice getting quieter.

"Oh," she replied, the mood dropping. "Do you.." she started hesitantly, "..can I see a drawing?"

Theo hesitated for a moment before nodding, and taking out a journal. He always kept it with him, just in case there was something that caught his eye. "Yeah, go ahead. They aren't that good though." He said, being way to humble. He sent her a small smile.

Skye smiled at him and accepted the journal. She opened it gently, finding multiple drawings inside which were obviously done with extreme care and detail. Glancing up at Theo, she grinned. "These are amazing! How can you say they're not good?"

Theo smiled at Skye's compliment. He had always been extremely humble, along with being secretly insecure about his drawings. He shrugged, and said, "I don't really know... I guess I'm just really insecure about it, considering the reason I started drawing in the first place."

"Well, you shouldn't be." She decided firmly with a smile. "They are really good."

Theo thanked her quietly, and got out the food from the basket. "Has anyone ever told you that you're the most beautiful girl in the world?" He asked, looking her in the eyes.

Naturally, Skye flushed. "You have," she replied simply, looking away, growing more and more flushed, feeling a smile creep itself onto her lips.

Theo felt the heat rising in his cheeks. In that moment he took a second to admire Skye's beauty. The way her brown locks cascaded down her shoulders, and her beautiful eyes that he felt he could just stare into forever, and get lost in the green orbs. Unable to contain his affection any longer, Theo gently rested his hand under her chin, making her look up at him. With half a second of hesitation, he slowly leaned forward, and captured her lips in a soft, warm kiss.

The kiss was downright incredible. Sure, maybe Skye had been kissed a couple of times before, but this overruled them all by a long shot. She hesitantly leaned forward into Theo's chest, feeling warm and protected.

Theo inhaled deeply through his nose as he felt Skye leaning into his chest. A buzzing sensation engulfed his entire body, and he couldn't get enough of it. Wrapping an arm around her waist, he let his free hand caress her cheek. Loving the sensation the kiss was giving him, he felt like he could just stay in that moment forever. Unfortunately, being a human being, he eventually needed to break the kiss to do this thing that in that one moment he wished he could live without: breathing.

Skye couldn't really describe quite how happy she was in that moment. Her crush had kissed her! As soon as the kiss was broken, a grin found its way to her face.

Theo grinned, his happiness shown clearly on his face. His hand still rested on Skye's cheek, and he caressed it with his thumb. He intended on being suave, but when he spoke, he practically threw up awkwardness. "That was... um..." He blushed violently, horrified at himself.

((NICEE!!))

In response, Skye beamed. She loved how awkward he seemed and thought it was absolutely adorable. She kissed his cheek, chuckling at him, all the while unable to hold her wide smile away.

Biting his bottom lip, Theo's icy blue eyes seemed to pierce into Skye's as he examined her expression. She seemed to have enjoyed the kiss, seeing as she gave him one on the cheek. He smiled shyly, looking down for just a moment, before returning to gaze into those mystical green pools of wonder. The smile disappearing from his lips, Theo caressed her cheek with one hand. "I-I've never felt this way about anybody before... this is kind of overwhelming.. and exhilarating.."

Hit with a sudden rush of boldness, Skye leaned in and kissed him on the lips, still smiling. When she pulled back, she said, "I think it's positively sweet."

Taken aback by Skye's sudden action, Theo stayed silent, but smiled. The raven haired boy was about to speak, then was unfortunately interrupted by the sound of the clock tower striking twelve in the afternoon. 'Time to get back to work' that stupid clock was telling him. Smiling apologetically, Theo said, "I have to get back to work now," quickly after, he added, "B-but I would love to do this again sometime.. maybe one day...I could..um, draw you?"

(Meep..)

"Draw me?" Skye asked, then broke out into a large smile. "Of course! That would be amazing. I can hardly wait." She stood and held out a hand to help him up, still beaming.

Smiling, Theo chuckled nervously, standing up straight. "Great! I'll try my best to capture your entire beauty on one page... although I'm worried there's too much to fit."

The compliment made Skye flush with pleasure. "Hardly." she said, a pleased smile playing on her lips. She began to pack the picnic, almost mindlessly.
