I silently turn the lock in the door, and creep inside the dark living room. I can hear my parents snoring echo in their almost empty room. I walk slowly, on my toes across the wood floor that squeaks with each footstep. I speed up my pace, never letting my heels touch the ground. I creep into my own bedroom and throw aside all the evidence. Toss up the covers up and lie down to sleep. It was like I never left, mission accomplished.(Haha, weird, the first two things I thought when I saw the topic were "Footsteps in the Sand" and "A Psalm of Life". :)
The footsteps fall into silence. An echo crosses as the winds pull up on the fences. A burglar alarm drones in the background somewhere. The night charms leaving things behind with easy concern for them. Many sleep in the distance. The alarm drones on without stop. A door sways back and forth. A cat stops to look up at the swaying of it. It's only thought is to muse and it scurries that much quicker away.
As I looked at the burning wood all I could think of is how my footsteps would seem to last forever. My teacher had told me it wouldn't hurt as long as I didn't run.
It was now night and it was my turn to walk across the remains of the burning wood. I looked towards the sky and started walking. I figured that I should be on the coals by now. I looked down. I had already passed them. I really should listen to the professionals.

Jes, LOL!!!! love it. Everywhere I step, I seem to stumble. I go to babysit for some friends, and the second I get out of the car I trip and go sprawling on the cement. I can see the guy I'm babysitting for thinking "and I'm leaving my kids with her...sad..." haha.
true story. sadly.
I was walking across the beach by the water when huge footsteps caught my attention. It wasn't just the footsteps it was how they were placed. There was only one foot i could tell but who would only have one foot? Then i heard something. It was on the dock but i couldn't tell what it was because it was so dark out. Then suddenly something grabbed my arm. No not just something somethings there was more then one. Then they pulled me into the lake and i never came up.
