Emma walks into her house's common room. She is sits on the sofa near the windowsill. As promised to her parents, she begins writing a letter to them. She smiles while remembering the look on her parents' faces when she got her acceptance letter, confused and delighted at the same time.
She finishes her letter just before midnight and dozes off right in the common room.

Mercedes walked into her house common room, though it was rare for someone like her to be sorted into Wampus she was relieved. The large weight that was on her shoulder disappeared almost completely. She sat down in the common room writing a letter to her family members all who were excited to hear about her house and how she felt about the school.
