I love Davina Porter she is phenomenal! I have a hard time listening to things the first time because I easily get visually distracted and my mind can wander. It is great when driving but I have a 3 min. walk to work so I really do not drive much. I plan on listening to some things while I take a morning walk once my schedule changes in the fall. Outlander is always a great choice for that :)

I don't know where she's lived but I feel like anybody would have to spend a long time here to get the dialects spot on. There are ones (e.g. Aberdeen area) that I can't even do!
I think the actors do pretty well though. Maybe not Murtagh sometimes but he's brilliant so I can let it slide.

There is no shame in it!

As someone from Aberdeen that made me laugh

Don't be ashamed, hun. I've lost track in the number of time I've watched it, lol.

I know the feeling. I talked my daughter into binge watching the series from the beginning, and it's been so much fun to experience it with her for the first time; like introducing old friends of whom you are extremely fond, enjoying their exploits through fresh eyes.

Haha! I'm from Dundee area and had a uni friend from Peterhead. When she spoke on the phone to her parents it was a massive change, no way could I do it justice.

Oh G-d, me too. It's one of my favorites!

I feel the same way.

He's verra bonny! I hope he grows his hair long enough to not need a wig. I find some of the long-hair wigs on the men kind of weird and distracting.

Seems to be a fact. Starz announced. I think he looks a little like Sam Heughan.

He is in 'A Place to Call Home' a great show here in Aus set in the 1950s where interestingly he also plays a secretly gay man in a time with zero tolerance. Cant wait to see him bring LJG to life

Monica. Don't be ashamed. You're in good company. I read that scene in the book over and over in the book,, then watched the Wedding show 5 or 6 times too!
