I feel that our fate is a mixture of both.
I believe in God and feel that he does plan our lives from the minute we are conceived. However, I feel that God plans out different options for us. Therefore, our actions ultimately affect our fate. I strongly believe in karma as well. You do bad, you will get bad, eventually. If you do good, you will be rewarded. (Im not good at explaining so my apologies is this is confusing!).

I agree pretty closely with what you've said here!

idk I tend to agree that its a bit of both. Like there is some preconceived path laid out, but there are choices along the way and the choice we make determines the outcome . ..however if we are given choices and those choices affect what happens then can we truly consider that fate?

But what if we were predestined to make those choices?

good question.... but if its a choice than that would insinuate that it is free will. And free will in my opinion nullifies the whole predestined thing.

I need your opinion in this. My family strongly believes in astrology (who predicts your predetermined path), and many of their predictions has also come true whenever my mom asked them about someone in our family. As now I'm going abroad, my mom decided to ask an astrologer about me. Well, she doesn't go to just one, she usually goes to many, and all of them agree to one thing- that I'm short tempered and easily offended (idk..I don't think so..). And now she went to this astrologer, and he said that he's 110% sure that I'm gonna get married after 2 years. Like WTF I'm JUST 18!!! And he also stated that I'm gonna have 2 marriages, and something about first marriage changing my life. I honestly had a good laugh about it for several minutes, and my stomach still hurts from laughing. But I can't believe my mom would even consider what he said, and now she's a bit worried (though she isn't showing).

Well yes I believe that we have a chosen path, but I do not believe that some stranger can predict my whole life. Like no, that's just impossible. And marriage at 20??? Are you kidding me???

I'm not sure exactly what you need our opinion on. . .I guess a general census as to whether we agree or not?

Imo I'm with you, I don't think some guy/girl reading a bunch of cards or star charts or whatever can predict every aspect of your life. & While Yes I do think there is a predetermined course in life, I also blv there are different paths (choices) along the way . .so really the outcome can vary depending on what choices we make.

I don't think people can predict the future. Especially something like that, that's a little ridiculous. Besides, you don't have to listen to this dude, I mean I could make a prediction that the world will end tomorrow, that doesn't mean its going to happen.

Exactly! @Nate I just needed your opinion on whether you believed on all this astrology thing. I guess I can be relieved now, I thought I was the only one having this opinion.

I think there are more that Don't blv than Do...its fascinating but my skepticism or realism just doesn't let my buy into all that.

What's your opinion on mediums?
