When I watched this film I didnt realise the book was already on my 'to read' list.
I decided it was time to read it and I am so glad I did, although the movie is very good and most of the book is encorporated, as I usually find the book is much better.
How heartbreaking that this disease can happen to someone so young, I was reduced to tears at times and how frustrating it must be for both the person and the family suffering with this.
As a nurse I have worked with many people with this condition but it was interesting to see in depth how things were from a personal point of view,how before Alice was diagnosed she knew something wasnt right, however in reality, it takes much longer to find a diagnosis than was portrayed
