Authors: Get Visible, Get Found & Make Sales! (Marketing, tours, publishing & more) discussion

I'm considering using Adwords ... anyone have tips or good insights? As I understand, using pay per click is not necessarily effective as a standalone tactic. What else helps along with it? Thanks for any info.
