I used to think I didn't like Jenny Han because I don't like Summer series. But I ADORE everything else! I just found out about these books and read this...loved it! soooo good. I liked Kat esp, she's tough and cool. can't wait to start Fire with Fire!

That's good news for me because it's the same for me. I hope to get to this one latter this week. I'm bummed that my library only has the first book in audio :(

I know! Mine, too. I got the second book but it's like 300 pages and I never have time to sit down and read. I listen to everything. It's a shame, too, because I liked all 3 of the audio narrators.
1. Burn for Burn surprised me in several ways. It was better than "The Summer I Turned Pretty" and almost as good as "To All The Boy's I've Loved Before." It had a supernatural element that surprised me. I must confess, I was playing games on my iPad while listening to it...so maybe I would have realized it if I was paying closer attention. Overall it was a good book. I would like to finish the series if I can get the last 2 books in audio. All my current Audible credits have been spoken for until Feb. 2017. Hopefully my library will get the remaining two soon because the book ended with a cliff hanger.
2. It grabbed my attention right away.
3. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. It wasn't a thriller, but it was a page turner.
4. I really like Kat DeBrassio. She had street smarts and wasn't a girl who just wanted to popular. I think Lena nailed it in her comment above when she said, "tough and cool," That was Kat.
5. "To All The Boy's I've Loved Before" is my favorite contemp YA book, but it is a completely different kind of book than "Burn for Burn."
I'm a huge Jenny Han fan so I will read anything she writes. I can't wait for " Always and Forever, Lara Jean (To All the Boys I've Loved Before, #3)."
I had never heard of Siobhan Vivian before listening to this book, but I just added "The Last Boy and Girl in the World" to my TBR shelf.

This was a guilty pleasure read. Are we supposed to like these girls? I did, but some of them are spoiled brats. Are they strong young women because they had the guts to go through with their revenge or are they hidden bullies? I think they are bullies and that is why I feel a little guilty for enjoying the book. I guess it is good writing when an author can turn character's that nobody should like into likable ones.I wasn't expecting the paranormal element to the story. It added a layer of suspense and I wanted to learn more about her abilities. The enormous cliff hanger ending irked me. I feel it was done to get us to buy the next book. It worked for me because I have. I still feel guilty for buying the second book. I want to know how it ends. This was my first Jenny Han book. I probably will buy more of her books or maybe get them from the library. I'll look into the other author as well. I want to read more contemporary ya books. I'm getting a little bored with the paranormal stories.

Postcard-perfect Jar Island is home to charming tourist shops, pristine beaches, amazing oceanfront homes—and three girls secretly plotting revenge.
KAT is sick and tired of being bullied by her former best friend.
LILLIA has always looked out for her little sister, so when she discovers that one of her guy friends has been secretly hooking up with her, she’s going to put a stop to it.
MARY is perpetually haunted by a traumatic event from years past, and the boy who’s responsible has yet to get what’s coming to him.
None of the girls can act on their revenge fantasies alone without being suspected. But together…anything is possible.
With an alliance in place, there will be no more “I wish I’d said…” or “If I could go back and do things differently...” These girls will show Jar Island that revenge is a dish best enjoyed together.
