I just finished the new Harry Potter book (stayed up late to finish it in one sitting!) I would love to hear if you read it and your thoughts on it!

I also read it last night. I meant to only read the first half, which turned into "I'll just read the next couple of scenes" which quickly turned into "Might as well finish it now." :)I had a couple of problems with the way characters were portrayed (mainly that Hermione didn't get more page time!), but on the whole I thought it was a really fun story.
I also thought it was really entertaining! I had my doubts when I read the line "it was a lame trick. Everyone enjoyed its lameness". I thought it was going to be goofy but it really wasn't. I loved the insight we got into a certain trolley witch.I have to say Scorpius is definitely my favorite character. I agree that some characters felt off. For example, Ron seemed more like one of the twins than himself. On the other hand, I liked how Draco was portrayed (he had some good points)
On another note, at first I wasn't pleased when I was sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore but now I'm feeling some pride in my house!! (I'm sorry for being long-winded, I don't know anyone who has read the book yet!!)

I laughed out loud at "Everyone enjoyed its lameness," but I'm glad the rest of the story wasn't quite so silly.
I haven't read it but I saw the play. I really loved it! Also really liked the idea of Harry and Dracos sons being best friends. Also thought Draco got more redemption than the original series gave him. Ps the case for the show is amazing and really brought the characters to life in a new way!
Wow, that sounds awesome! Just reading the stage directions and descriptions of different effects made me really curious about how they would portray that onstage!
I hope it goes international. I can't believe that it won't, but I am dying to see it. Even before I got the book!

From what I've seen in the news, they're in talks to bring it to America, possibly New York. Once it's in New York, I figure it'll eventually get a touring company. I also wouldn't be surprised if they eventually do a film release. Maybe not a full movie, but at least a really nice recording of the stage play.
