Do you have a set location where you like to write? Personally, I write at simple table or outside when the weather is prime.

My room and the basement.

Eli | 55 comments Depends. Lately I've been going to my local library to do writing stuff. But if that's not an option for whatever reason I can also work in my room by putting my laptop on my bed and kneeling on the floor in front of it. That also works with the couch in my basement.

That sounds like a good position to be in. I've been working to get a laptop so I can do something similar. And better wifi :)

I end up writing wherever I find myself with a pen and paper. Whether it be in the car-But nit when I'm driving-or sitting at my desk. As long as I have the idea, and the pen and paper, I am golden.
But the space I fond where I spend most of my time writing is on my bed in the basement.

I like to write at my desk on my computer but with a plan on a notepad next to me.

little dumpling (littledumpling) I have this plain note pad, because if it's pretty or if I like the note block, I would always be erasing to keep the book in style. I write in my bed, ya know it's all confertable and all...

I heard somewhere that writing or doing things in your bed can cause your brain to lose the connection to sleep in bed, causing you to have more restless sleep. I haven't found this to be completely accurate and by no means am I dissing those of you who like to write in bed, so what are your thoughts?

message 9: by Laura (new)

Laura Guilbault Yeah I've heard that too. Not about writing, though; I heard it about homework. When I'm trying to sleep, I actually try to think about stories in my head, and that helps me to kind of enter a dream world. So I think that writing in bed would help me to sleep, if this rumour is correct.

little dumpling (littledumpling) Really, it clearly has no effect on me.

I don't like writing on beds, however I like writing in cozy places , like my favorite sofa-chair or couch.
