Leave a link here if you have a completed work to share!

Eli | 55 comments Okay, here goes. So, what I've got is actally a bunch of completed works. It's a collection of short stories and flash fiction stories that I posted online as first drafts, then edited, updated, and collected in the form of a Kindle book.

Random Word Stories: Volume 1

So far everyone who's read it says it's good. Just because all of those people know me personally doesn't matter much...right?

I'll try reading it , promise I'll give an honest review :)

Honestly , yes it was good . Your way of describing things is great, and the adjectives fit the context very well . There really isn't much criticism here . I know , I know , constructive feedback , but I can't ! It just IS good .

However , I only skimmed through your works. If you want a more thorough reading you might want to look for someone else :)
I read the beginning of one of your 'word to story' writing pieces.

I appreciate any readers I can get, even if it's just a quick glance. I'm just glad it's being read and enjoyed by someone out there.

Hannah | 1 comments So, basically my book is really long and is posted publicly in full on only BookCountry. Here's a dropbox link (but I don't know if it'll work for everyone):

No one other than me has read it in full, and I'm worried it might be bad because I have a lot of redundancies I haven't finished editing. But please have a look and give me an honest review!

Maybe someone could look it through with you, somewhat like an editor . I've been thinking about creating a topic called 'Request an Editor' for someone to really thoroughly look through people's writing .
For you, Random, too. Sometimes people only have time to skim through writing , and not have a chance to actually 'read it'.
Here's the deal:
I think when you post a piece of writing , give a little summary to see if it interests other people. Like the little summaries on the back of books. Give it a little drama , a little suspense , and a little info on the plot and characters.

I would love to read your story, but unfortunately the link doesn't work for me! I promise I will try to read it on my computer instead of my phone.

Angela Hausman (angie_hausman) | 2 comments I'd love to get Beta readers for my book. I'll hire an editor after I get feedback about structural elements like plot and characters. I plan to self-publish.

Nikki Johnson (luna1563) | 2 comments Hi everyone,

I'm very new to the group and I joined to initially look for fellow writers like myself, even if to just discuss the challenges we go through!

As it happens I have decided to start doing some freelance editing again (I did so for 2 years!) and as I'm working full-time I'm not looking for loads of projects to work on - I do really enjoy reviewing, critiquing and editing long-form, and I have some experience in formatting documents ready for ebook or print format.

Shameless promoting I know, but from experience finding an editor is quite hard (I've yet to find a great one myself!) and I'm simply looking for extra cash to pay off some hefty bills so I don't overcharge.

Happy to also read the writing but the offer is there should anyone call for it :)

Welcome to the group Nikki! We could definitely use an editor like you :) If you would like to offer your services where more people can see, go to Chats and then Promote Yourself .
Good luck , as a person , writer, and editor !

I read the first bit of your story. I thought it was well described at most of the parts, but you also had a lot of parts where you put thoughts in italics and then put "she thought" afterwards. I think you should either get rid of the italics formatting and keep "she thought" or get rid of "she thought". I think it was a bit unnecessary to have both. Other than that, from the small amount that I read it was good. I was a little confused with all the characters introduced in just a few pages, but you did keep up the pace well, so I enjoyed it.
