As always , all of the group rules apply to role play , as well as the following:
- no seriously injuring or killing another character before consulting with the character creator . Be sure to be thoughtful about how killing/injuring the character might affect the story and the rest of the characters .
- sensitive topics should be approached in a sensitive way . For example , if you are writing about the Holocaust, be sensitive about who might see your writing, etc.
- no creating role play topics without first getting them approved by MODs in the Roleplay Request topic . If you are a MOD, evaluate you're own topic the way you would another member's.
- Respect other characters , not just the people . Don't curse at them , or curse in general, either . This is already in the group rules but it is a friendly reminder.
- When creating a roleplay topic , lay down the roles, rules, outline, and basic conflict / plot in the first comment for the roleplay . Then, let people join , and when the roles fill up you can start . Members of the roleplay can also request changes to the storyline or add extra characters if the role play creator approves.
-Finally, enjoy yourselves ! Even though you should stick mostly to the storyline laid out , plot twists and things like that can make a story interesting or help with development .
When a roleplay finishes , it will be locked and you can start a new one . Please note : you can't host two or more role plays at a time . You can BE in two or more at a time , though.
I hope I've covered everything ! If this was confusing (which it probably was) feel free to ask questions below or in the Writingtowne Information Center folder .
Happy Roleplaying ! :)
